[ QUOTE ] #3 - Why doesn't your wife ... park 50 yards away like you want the neighbors to do? [/ QUOTE ] this is a good point [/ QUOTE ] How is that a good point? The neighbors are not legally allowed to park in front of their garage. That's not really LFS' problem, so he shouldn't have to accommodate them and have his wife park her car 50 yards away. Tough break and you can go in circles arguing about the fairest solution to both parties, but at the end of the day the neighbors' car is parked illegally, and it's infringing on LFS in some way. Pretty transparent situation, imo. The neighborly thing to do is to have a talk with them explaining the situation. Most reasonable people will move the car out of the illegal space, especially after finding out there was an accident before. -Al |

LFS - just because everybody else in LA is uncivil towards their neighbors, doesn't mean you have to be the same way. Given the state of your relations I wouldn't say a thing. Just call the parking cop and complain. They will move the car after a few parking tickets. If you try and talk to the neighbor then you have already eliminated the snitch option. They will know it was you.

[/ QUOTE ] My only worry would be, since its right out front, that they see the ticket being written and come out to stop it and the ticketing cop says "Yeah we got a complaint" it won't be too hard to figure out who phoned it in. Then the neighbor might think "WTF? Why didn't he just ask me if I could move it?" Maybe this is unfounded though. |

[ QUOTE ] google map screencap plz [/ QUOTE ] OK, I'm not totally thrilled about how the angle of this shot portrays my case. When the neighbor parks in front of his garage, it's DIRECTLY across from my driveway. [/ QUOTE ] Is that the Element in question parked in front of the black car? The color looks close. If so, why are they parked in a legal parking spot in the picture instead of their normal in front of the garage bit? |

Let the dude park where he wants to. Else you will be getting your newspaper off the roof of your house every morning.

Since you haven't officialy met your neighbors, I like the "hey-how ya doin-nice to meet you-welcome to the neighborhood" convo followed by the angle shot at the women driver stereotype, which will hopefully lighten the mood and make the whole thing NBD.
