My current planned menu for today:
http://www.outback.com/ourmenu/menu.asp

Seared Ahi Tuna
Sashimi style Yellow Fin tuna, spice rubbed and seared. Served with sides of soy dressing and wasabi vinaigrette

Clam Chowder (not on that link, but they have it)

Hickory Burger
Topped with hickory sauce, lettuce, tomato, smoked cheddar, bacon, sweet sautéed onions and mayo
--

I will have the burger without mayo, obviously. I think my Outback allows a choice of side with burger. If that is so, I'm going to run the Sautéed Mushrooms instead of fries.

I will probably also split a layered cheese fries with my friend. Oh, and bread. Lots and lots of bread.

The Hickory Burger is v good. Outback is by far and awar bettre then most of the other restaurants in its class. And yeah the glasses are super small, but like the wait staff knows this too and has always brought lots of refills to our table.

People who are hating on Outback have much too high expectations.

outback is awesome, for the person that said their steaks come in the same sysco box as other places is very wrong. everyone knows outback flies all its food in fresh daily and has one of the highest food cost in the industry.

People are just hating in this thread to try to make themselves look good.

Cheese frieds > All

EDIT: salads at outback own, compare them to a red lobster salad....i dare you

i will say this, i love outback but they probably have the worst fries in the business. of course i'm not talking about the sick delicious cheese fries covered in bacon and ranch dressing. just the regular fries.. they are horrible.

People that hate on Outback are the same type of people that hate on the big three pizza places (Pizza Hut, Domino's, Papa John's).

[/ QUOTE ]

Tup,

I like Outback, and dislike all those pizza places. Pizza should be a pretty easy thing to make - just use a few high quality ingredients and a good oven - but those places screw it up.

I don't want to hijack this thread... ok I do.

WTF are you talking about? Papa Johns rules. I was walking though a commercial area a few weeks ago and when I saw they were opening a new one a block from my place I did a couple fist pumps and yelled "ship it" to the bemused stares of onlookers. I saw that their grand opening was today and I instadropped my plans so I could order a pizza.

Iron,

No national pizza chains rule.

ok to be fair, I've never eaten at Papa Johns. I have plenty of experience at Dominos and Pizza Hut, and just figured that Papa Johns was roughly the same quality as those.

You're missing out.

Just after college I went a month on eating nothing but Papa John's. I think that might have been the best month of my life.
