I gotta say this, This is a poker tournament not a REAL athletic event, the only people that are harmed by suspending the event for 24 hours is cheap @$$ Steve Lipscumbag, and his greedy souless WPT. The Audience pays not entry fee so they aren't really out anything, Ted Forrest is really out anything by waiting 24 or so hours. If JJ cant go, then declare Ted the winner and give him 1st place. If they have a final table and Doyle or Lyle have a heart attack during heads up play what would they do ? show the last hour of chips being blinded off ? I think if you ask Ted he'd rather play to victory than have someone else play under those conditions. Shame on the WPT, Shame on Bay 101 for not having the balls to step in for the good of the players, and shame on all of you for putting the outcome of a stupid poker game ahead of someones health. Once again Steve Lipscumbag has demonstrated what a piece of crap he is.

wtf the WPT shouldnt have suspended the event. she is the one who should look bad here, not them.

a simple solutuon would have been to either move all in every hand or make a deal with forrest, jam, then muck.

Oliver: I find it completely hypocritical and inappropriate for you to ask this forum to THINK before posting. As someone who holds media credentials, you have repeatedly "reported" rumor and hearsay as fact, which is hardly professional. I can say that I know this first-hand because you have posted completely false things about me in the past, though I chose not to make an issue out of it at the time. It is completely different for a member of the media to post so-called "facts" than it is for forum members to state their personal opinions on controversial topics. You have zero credibility in my book and you do not deserve to hold a media badge.

That being said, I like JJ very much and wish her the best.

LOL

I think it's safe to say that Oliver will never be Evelyn's agent. Evelyn is so right, this is a forum of public opinions by poker players. Most of us wish JJ and her family all the best.

Oliver you should be fired immediately. You've got to be the worse agent ever. You have stirred up more bad publicity with your comments than anyone on here.

Who else is of the opinion that Oliver is a total idiot and should be fired immediately?

I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate Ted Forrester for his first ever WPT win.

I know this is a thread based on rumor and hearsay, but let me remind everyone of a few things.

1. Nobody here knows the health status of J.J. Liu, either during or after the final table. It may have been something minor, or it may have been something serious. We simply don't know any of the facts. (And frankly, it's none of our business.)

2. Nobody here knows what J.J. Liu told the WPT, Bay 101, or Matt Savage about her condition, either before or during the final table.

3. Nobody here knows what the WPT, Bay 101, or Matt Savage told J.J. Liu about her options.

4. There is no evidence that J.J. Liu would have been disqualified (forfeiting her prize money) if she left the final table for health reasons.

As J.J. Liu's agent, Oliver may know some of these things, but he is clearly not allowed to address the specifics at this time.

Everyone is free to comment on the situation (this is the NVG forum, after all), but I just want to make sure the basic facts aren't lost in the discussion.

So, she goes to the bathroom, cleans up and then comes back to play.

Sounds like she should be prosecuted.

Again, as J.J. Liu's agent, I ask the 2+2 audience to please refrain from posting insensitive remarks or taking cheap shots at J.J., Dan Alspach, or myself in order to justify your existence.

At this time, I cannot comment on the specifics of the situation beyond what was already reported by the media.

Please respect J.J. and Dan's need for privacy. Thank you very much.

Had you asked me about the situation, I would have been happy to tell you my side of the story, but you decided to go with your own version of what happened between me, Poker Stars & Bodog

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm asking, please post in a new thread to satisfy the terminally nosy.

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, but this is what Oliver posted regarding my sponsorship switch:

"Evelyn Ng's contract with PokerStars expired and was not renewed, for obvious reasons. Bodog's deal isn't as good as what PokerStars offered."

There happens to be a lot wrong with these two sentences, and it implies that I was either fired or let-go from PokerStars which was not the case.

The reason I chose not to bring it up at the time is that I do not think it is proper to discuss the details and terms of my sponsorships. That being said, it is apparent that Oliver Tse has either been misinformed, or he just decided to voice his own theory as fact. I would be very surprised if Oliver knows the financial details of either of my contracts with PokerStars or Bodog.

I didn't post this in a separate thread because this is all I have to say on this matter, and I think it should end here. I just wanted to show an example where Oliver Tse has displayed a lack of journalistic integrity.

This was the longest WPT final table EVER. They played almost 100 hands Head-up, some1 coulda stopped something if need be. I really don't get all of the drama here, but here's what I've learned from reading this thread:

-2p2ers are allowed their opinion(s) free for scrutiny by all. (Obv.)

-Some1 above said that there is higher risks in pregnancies w/ older women, so some blame can be placed there. (Dan Alspach, etc...)

-Oliver=tool (I'm still open for debate on this tho)

-Best wishes for the health and recovery of J.J. Liu and her baby. (Fa sho)
