I do spend a significant amount of time on jazz as well, don't really consider that a hobby. a lot of these things I'm not doing every day either (although with classical guitar I obv have to practice every day).

being married is awesome.

Developing a line of purebred bloodhounds. My wife is a biology major but I've never had that much interest in it. Can't believe how much I've learned about genetics and dog anatomy over the past year. This will obviously be an effort that takes years.

i bought a $150 rosette stone software for chinese and thought it was absolutely useless

Too easy? Too hard? Just didn't think it was teaching you anything at all? More detail would be appreciated - I have also looked at this stuff for languages. Do you think an audio series would have been more useful?

I go bowling at least twice a week. I just bought a new ball which has helped.

I'm somewhere around a 145-150 average right now and want to get it to 185 by the end of the year, which is obtainable given my coaching (Dad bowled on the PBA for a year) and access to free bowling (his best friend owns an alley 15 minutes from campus).

the set up was bad. it seemed very limited in how it worked, in fact now that i think about it i must not have known how to use the program becuase all i got was a picture and 4 different words and i had to multiple choice over and over and over again to learn and that's all it had. yup i must hvae missed something. i was pretty pissed at the $150 software
