Or maybe he will read greenstiens book and see that the key to success is borrowing money everywhere and getting stuck $1.5 million just like barry did.

They are broke and wondering what went wrong.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nice post, except they don't wonder went wrong at all.

They already know the answer:

They ran badly. And poker is just too tough to succeed at long-term.

They refuse to consider the possibility that trying to 'make back their losses' at the next highest level with only 42 BB's is most likely not going to end well.

"If I had just run lucky during ONE of those times when i was really unlucky I could very easily be playing the 300/600 game full-time right now.
You ever see the guys in that 300/600 game?
They're not that good. They're all just luckier to have gotten there. But I'm actually a better 'player' than almost all of them."

i used to feel pleasure at your pain. now i don't anymore and it's a very empty feeling either way i hope you can control yourself in the future because it seems like you have the makings of a problem i wouldn't wish upon anyone.

I would like to echo this.

Although these threads of Kurosh's are hilarious.. they kind of make me uncomfortable.

Because to a 19-25 year old kid... $40,000 is a lot of money. There is a few yers of college at most schools. A lot of good could be done with that money.

It also bothers me to see somebody who could beat the game for a significant amount squander, oppurtunity after oppurtunity. All the while realising that he is screwing up... and repeatedly try to "do things right" yet for some reason not be able to hold it together.

I kind of wish that I could help... but I am not sure how I could.

Be that as it may... I will not be cheering any of these threads on in the future... because it is disturbing in a way I can't quite put my finger on. anyway best of luck.

My poker roll is now 20k. KUROSH IS NOT GOING BUSTO. I don't know how a 175BB downswing equates to 30k when I'm playing 30/60 95% of the time. This is how you go broke on a 175BB downswing when you had a 1000BB roll for your level.

Here is some harsh love from someone who has no history of getting into it with you. You have a serious lack of discipline which has really screwed you in your poker career to date. I don't know why you think you can go play higher games sucessfully when you have never actually built a bankroll to do it at the "easy" lower games.

I want you to suceed, which is why i am being so blunt and not sugar coating anything here. You put a lot of thought into the game, and have the potential to be a very consistently sucessful player if you can break some of your horrible habits. Playing 100-200 with a 26k is dumb even if you were playing the fish HU. The fact and that you played him with Pauluka there and then played Pauluka HU after he left because you were stuck a little is exactly why this keeps happening to you. In reality, your expectation is higher 6-8 tabling 30-60 than playing this game, you just get a hard on from playing the bigger games, and you need to kick this habit.

So here, i will be your BR manager for free. You have a MINIMUM of 500 BB for whatever level you are playing. Go play 20-40 on party now. When you get 30k take a shot at 30-60 if you, but its better if u have 40k. Never ever move up or take a shot again in the next 12 months without a minimum of 500 BB. When your stuck in a good game that turns bad, learn to man up and leave. This will make you mor $$$ and reduce your tilt. I really hope you do well, i honestly do. But if you can't learn the discipline to do the things i have mentioned in this thrad, your career will go no where. If you had stopped playing the higher games the first time u busted from a 40k role, you might have the bankroll for them now. LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES! And put your ego away. Everyone has to move down and grind, i have done/do this all the time, and all good players do. Good luck, and i hope you listen, cuz i am right

I have actually. I built up my roll again from 3k to 30k grinding it out from 3/6 to 10/20 mostly.

Go [censored] yourself you arrogant prick. You make hundreds of posts being an egotistical douchebag and I never say a damn thing to you. For some reason you seem to have a problem with me having better results and more attention than you. There is no reason for the [censored] hostility you have towards me. If you question it, put some money on the line. I am willing to go busto playing you headsup so pick any limit you want as long as I have one BB I will play you.

[/ QUOTE ]

Very impressive. I like the fact that you're willing to back it up with a HU match. You know he can't handle that because Kurosh is +EV against anyone. You are my new hero. Keep bringing it with posts like this one.
