Jeff Goldblum was in a ton of small roles in the 70s. Annie Hall was a particularly good one. [/ QUOTE ] Speaking of Annie Hall, Christopher Walken has a great little role there too, and I'm pretty sure that was pre-Deer Hunter. |

I really don't know if the guys were famous already back then, but I was amazed at the amount of actors I recognized in "The Bounty". The two most famous being Mel Gibson (ok, I guess after Mad Max he was fairly well known) and Anthony Hopkins (can't remember him in any major movie older than that). [/ QUOTE ] BZZZ! wrong answers. Anthony Hopkins was a star before that, sorry. And Mel Gibson was well-known. A correct answer for that movie would Liam Neeson. Also, Liam Neeson in Excalibur. |

Speaking of Law & Order, the actress who plays Lt. Van Buren (S. Epatha Merkerson) played Miles Dyson's wife in Terminator 2.
EDIT: Holy crap. IMDB says that the guy who played George Mason in 24 (Xander Berkely) was also in Terminator 2. Now I have to watch that movie again. Ah. Now I remember. John Connor's foster father: EDIT: his T2 screen wife also did a guest spot on 24. Also, his real-life wife is the actress who played Nina Myers on 24. |

El D,
I swear to G_d most of your threads in this forum are to test the IQ of the respondents... This may or may not qualify, but I throw out Kevin Costner in "No Way Out". I don't think anyone had heard of the dude prior to that but he had a lead role alongside Gene Hackman and (a dead) Sean Young. Pretty big breakout performance, and arguably his best, "Bull Durham" and "Dances With Wolves" being the others that come to mind. |

Noah Wyle from ER was in A Few Good Men. He was the corporal put on the witness stand who said he found the mess hall by following everybody else at chow time.
Cuba Gooding Jr. also had a bit part in A Few Good Men, but it was after Coming to America so it may not count in this game. |

Several people from 24 were in NCIS (President Logan, Aaron Pierce, and I think one other guy). Doesn't really count (Aaron Pierce was definitely in 24 first, though Logan may have been in NCIS before 24), but I thought I'd mention it anyway.
