Whose starting law school in the fall?

I read through a couple of the posts about 1L grades and I can tell you first hand that they are the single MOST important thing with respects to getting a job upon graduation. It's all about pedigree to these big law firms. You have to go to the right school and have the right credentials (law review, moot court, etc...). However, I do have classmates who did poorly, but proved themselves and ended up working big law. I finished #2 in my class at UCLA after 1L and I could have not done anything but pass my classes and still have job offers from the top firms. I didn't take that route bc I enjoyed learning the law, but I know a few who did. They got on law review and coasted for the remaining two years.
