I'm just a bag of nerves watching this game 2, NLDS, Jeff Weaver start.

It doesn't help I have to put up with Berman, as well.

Ugh, I think a couple of Weaver's pitches have been close enough to be strikes, but I can just see him getting one or two bad breaks and then totally imploding.

EDIT: managed to extricate himself. Needless to say, I'm still pretty negative on our 8-14, 5.76 ERA starter for game two.

he's not a great pitcher, but even when he's off he doesn't seem to head into a tailspin after giving up a homer or whatever. lower baseline, but he seems to maintain composure.

That wasn't even close at home. It was a good throw, but it wasn't even close. Sick.

Yeah, I meant clear out. Its one thing if the play is close enough to require a great throw to get the out, but that play didn't. Solid throw, but it still wasn't even close to being safe.

AND NICE TURN! Great double play there.

nice "double" by pujols there even if he gets out i'll seldom fault aggressive baserunning.

insult to injury via edmonds, and if it weren't for that nice diving play belliard would have pushed the inning further.

spicoli is doing a great job so far. i'm only really concerned about what happens if they want to play him on short rest, even for few innings.

i wish they had managed to make room for reyes and schumaker just incase. are they allowed to change the active roster between a series?
