When I first started playing poker online (Sept 2005) I played a bunch of .25/.5 Limit at UB. I played there until April 2006 and then started NL and havent played much Limit since.

There was a bunch of "regulars" that played at that time and in my PT database I have 100's of hands and some notes for a lot of them.

Anyway I was bored last night and played a little .25/.5 Limit for old times sake.

And they were still all there!!! None have moved up or on to NL. Still playing their tight style at full ring limit - barely beating the rake most likely. What a grind. Cant believe they havent moved on - their tight style might win way more at NL than they are making now.

So with the HH thing not working properly at FT I decide to play a little on Stars although I still have to make up my 10 buy-in downswing this month. Within the first hour this happens:

Poker Stars
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
6 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG calls, Hero raises to $1.25, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds, UTG calls.

Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($5.5, 4 players)
SB bets $4.5, UTG folds, Hero raises all-in $48.75, CO folds, SB calls.

Turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($103, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $103)

River: 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($103, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $103)

Results:
Final pot: $103
SB showed 4s 5s
Hero showed 5d 5h

It seems that my doomswitch is only turned on at Full Tilt!

I was kinda bored so I figured I'd just start a couple up. Soooo sick how they play once you get to the pushbot stage, like im getting people cracking KK with 82o and stuff. I think its a good learning tool in that it teaches you that being a 4:1 favourite isnt really that much of an edge and you are gonna lose a bunch of those kind of flips.

But yeah even though it feels good to take them down, I'm sticking to cash for real...

He was the kind of guy to do this against even if he folds. Think repeatedly check-raising the flop with mid-pair and then betting out on the turn and other moves like that. There's times when you have to draw a line in the sand, WHICH YOU DO NOT CROSS!

don't play $3 sngs, rake's far too hight (I am right in thinking that it's 2.4+0.6 right?)

It would have been unlucky for him if his aces got cracked. Think about it like that. (Despite the fact that he played them terribly)
