What do you think we do this for? There are two reasons to do survivors:

1. Improve the forum
2. Generate drama

40% done with my count.

All,

I like both Alobar's and Diablo's ideas, but I think Diablo's needs a modification

In RJ's defense, I dont think Diablo's idea is fair to him. RJ took on one of the forum's least liked posters. I think its unfair to make him take on a challenge from posters that range from unknown to very well liked. What about a change where RJ is forced to engage in SOME survivor by a deadline, but he can choose who its against from the entire OOT population (obv. a stipulation of no RJ made gimmicks)

all,

this is a big decision. I think it would be best if the decision was made by a council of the forum's best and brightest, such as (ElD, Astro, Samjjones, alobar, and daryn off the top of my head) to choose one of the options to be the tiebreaker. Would this be satisfactory to everyone?

[/ QUOTE ]

and who's going to choose them??

just make it a Mod decision. ALL mods get to vote on a solution.

[/ QUOTE ]

I thought u liked DB? that would be his suicide, heh

I think the 2 decisions are

"they should both be exiled" because neither won

"they should both survive" because neither lost

anything else is basically just for drama sake, so lets just set up a thread and have voting over those 2 outcomes, and whichever outcome gets more votes is the outcome that happens.

[/ QUOTE ]

this is the fairest and best solution. i like it

Please note that this creates a possiblity of a Survivor where people can cast the following vote:

exile DB
exile RJ

[/ QUOTE ]

I have to admit that this is one helluva selling point.

Since they tied I think its very unfair to now force either of them to do another survivor match. If DB wants to challenge someone else, let him. Thats his choice. As of right now though, I say both stay.

Why would the "one person, one vote" rule have to be explicitly stated? It seems extremely standard in ANY voting situation, what situations are you allowed to vote TWO times, regardless of whatever fake name used? Since mods can see IPs, they should be able to tell who is voting twice.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is a valid point. In an election, if a person used a fake name to vote twice, and it was found out, there votes would be removed.

[/ QUOTE ]

Meb, c'mon now.

1) This isnt a federal election, this is OOT survivor. Do you know why people assume that in elections there is a "one person, one vote" rule?... BECAUSE ITS STATED IN ELECTION RULES.

2) Lets face facts here, and say that THE PERSON WHO THE VOTE WAS CAST FOR WAS THE DECIDING FACTOR IN WHETHER OR NOT YOU THINK IT SHOULD BE COUNTED.. This fact alone makes your opinion pretty much irrelevant.

(Nothing personal, I think you're a good guy. But you're letting your feelings on who should win guide your decision making)
