AlphaWise,

You think jaywalking is the same as stealing personal property?

Listen for the pop.

[/ QUOTE ]

No. What I am pointing out is a flaw in El D's logic; a similar argument of his can be used to show that his jaywalking is unacceptable. Since most people agree that jaywalking is acceptable, there's a contradiction. The implication is that his argument is flawed; this does not necessarily imply that his thesis is flawed - just his argument.

Hey ZJ,

Would love your input on the following common tourney situation.

Late-middle stages of tourney. Blinds 150/300. Avg stack 6,500. I'm UTG w/ 4,000 and 33. I'm also in CO w/ 10,000 and QTs.

What is optimal strategy here?

Shaniac, your position is fine. Don't sweat how others feel.

The focus should be on how easy it is to play multiple accounts at the same time without ever getting caught.

JJ and ZJ could never have been serious cheaters in light of the facts that came out on how they were caught. Playing mulitiple accounts on the same computer on one IP address? Oh my god, how ignorant is that?

The sites know exactly how the majority of cheaters do it. They just don't have a way to detect it. But I'm sure they are trying to find a way. Let's at least hope so.

The reason you don't hear of many getting caught is because they aren't getting caught and probably never will.

He can't enter live MTT's until his 5 clones are defrosted...this may take a few months..

I think you believe that a lot of this is a judgement call and that is my position as well.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, this is correct. I think most people would agree that it is a judgement call. However, the comparisons to drunk driving or drug use are terrible. Everyone has their own ethical code. There is a certain line that must be crossed that before someone will turn in their friend. There are many legitimate reasons why multi-accounting crosses this line and drug use does not. The most important one in my opinion is harm it causes other people. My buddy who lights up a joint isn't maliciously doing so to hurt anybody. While the multi-tabler's intent is to gain an unfair advantage and cheat other players out of their money.

Ooooohhhh. Good one. Listen you little freak, when SI finds out their poker poster boy was banned from a poker site and had $100K confiscated and prints that story, do you think anyone is going to give a [censored] about your "snitching-ethics?" [censored] no they aren't going to give a rat's. Public opinion is going to turn massively against online gambling and Congress will pass a law banning it and most of you cheaters will be out of job. Servers you right.

[/ QUOTE ]

Surprisingly enough, you have a point here, albeit a simple one. And yes I agree, this hurts the game. ZeeJustin pissed in the drinking well. No doubt about it.

I just don't like your tone, you know, the self validation, the name calling, the baseless accusations...

He says he will answer when his shift is over. He's splitting a large pot right now and hoping for a $2 tip.

If Party Poker unjustifiably took your money there is no reason you couldn't sue them - the law of Gibraltar is perfectly well-developed and they have plenty of assets.

The simple fact is, if you have multiple accounts, you are cheating and can take your money.

If you don't cheat keeping a large BR at Party or Stars isn't really an issue. They are no more likely to go bust than Neteller..

Default My 1st ever post on 2+2...RE ZEE, JJ multi acct...

this is a portion of what i posted on p5s

(regarding the play of honest, 1 ACCOUNT ONLY,'ranked' players) Its Amazing how well we have all done in light of all the [censored] that has obviously going in. It looks like the sites are getting their [censored] together (FINALLY) and congrats to them.
Its a Brave New World boys....for MOST it wont change at all, but for some...it will be a culture shock.
CONGRATS to everyone (Which is MOST of us) that have played it straight all along. I look for even more success on a level playing field in the future.
I wont comment on anything else except to say i am thrilled the sites look like they are finally getting a clue and implemnting a system that should have been implemented long ago
