well, like I said, I don't really wanna play sng's anymore, but I spent a very large chunk of time doing it. I never played them "correctly". I always played lots more hands early than is the norm, stole from the tight guys, donked it up with the maniacs, etc, etc. my roi was always as good or better than the norm up to 55's, then would fall off. basicaly my style worked fine till I got to a level I didn't get payed off anymore.

I tryed to play the accepted style several times, couple thousand games total prob, but never got it right. I would think I did, then read a curtains or cit post and realise my thinking was completely different.

Basicly sng's require a weak/tight mindset to a much higher degree than I ever was able to grasp (or would probably have the control to pull off) I play mtt's with the same basic style I used in sng's. only real difference is sng's are about surviving, and mtt's are about acumulating.

lacky,

i think that someone who actually knows how to play poker and do things like pick on nits would do better than you standard robot player in the current environment. you were just ahead of the curve.

Me and Cha59 were just discussing last night if SnG's are getting to the point that good poker players would be better off playing a little more LAG in the early going. The only conclusion we reached was probably not at the levels we're playing at but maybe at the higher levels.

might be barkin up the wrong tree. I havent played more than a couple thousand hands of nl cash in the last 6 months. I am gonna fall short in fpp's this month though, so will probably be playing some, maybe 1/2 6max full buyin I'm thinking. Could shortbuy, but don't really feel like it.
