It's not a "must" however it would almost be impossible to lose if we do. Hmm... hard to win also.. but impossible to lose....The extra pawn on the kingside for white means nothing, and our b-pawn must be tamed....
So... Rc1 is offers no risk and a few chances...

Anyone like b5? We took all the time to clear out his Queen-pawns, lets start pressuring him now

I also like Nc3 to guard the b1 square.

We definitely have to worry about 37. Re8+ Kh7 38. Re7, attacking both our pawns, right? So knight moves can cost us a pawn, but b5 or Rc8 seem OK.

I like b5, FWIW.

Yes the check and Re7 would be a problem. However we could just as easily play f6 to avoid that issue.
Exchanging rooks seems to be a safe plan, followed by f6.
b5 is a possible move too, but the pawn can get stalled and the rook can check and get behind it...
