davey, the middle of the pack is literally packed right now.

Mainly with over/under achieving teams top 4 will still likely be Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Reading and Portsmouth will drop down the table by season end. Villa if they buy well in January may be the threat to get into the top 4, MON seems to have turned them round a bit even if they are playing drab football. Bolton the same although they normally get a run of bad injuries and struggle to cover. Everton it depends on injuries as well I think, I would expect Spurs to get a run going at some point and be challanging for top 6.

But I still think Liverpool and Arsenal are the teams that can turn their form around and are capable of going on runs to secure CL next season. We are still not halfway through the season yet still time for a lot to happen, but at 16 points behind game in hand or not there is no way Arsenal and Liverpool are catching the top two.

The Christmas period (5 games each in 16 days) is always the key time of the season if Arsenal are still midtable then will be a time to start to worry for you.

I've fallen in love with Portsmouth this season, so I'll join you in jumping and drinking if they finish 3rd or 4th. These numbers are updated through today by the way, if that's not clear.
