[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Still not as bad as James Van Alstyne. [/ QUOTE ] I played the $1500 PLO event with James Van Alstyne and he was a really nice guy. [/ QUOTE ] Did he cry like a little girl when he busted out? [/ QUOTE ] Our table broke before either of us busted out. Why are you a douchebag? You should go be hysterical in the legislation forum. |

[ QUOTE ]
You don't make a decision in poker simply to keep yourself out of making a difficult decision later - especially not if you're a good player. [/ QUOTE ] In the largest poker tournement of all time, as the best player in the field against the only player who can bust you ... yes sometimes you do. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Plus if hes ahead Gold only has at most 2 outs here and usually none so he isn't likely to call a bet. [/ QUOTE ] Huh? Gold doesn't know AC's hand. Gold could easily call a bet with a middle pair, a weaker ace, or a weaker flush draw. [/ QUOTE ] Gold isn't an idiot. He knows AC doesn't want to play a huge pot here, and he raise preflop and called a flop bet. When an A hits the turn and AC bets into him, he has to give the man credit for a hand and isn't going to call with middle pair very often. BAsically the only hand he can call with is the flush draw, but AC knows he is holding that so that makes it less likely Gold can have it. Either way its still often going to be better to induce a river bluff from an aggressive opponent. |

From pokerlistings #3 "Michael Binger has a P.H.D. in particle physics from Stanford University and has been supporting himself by playing poker for the last five or six years." [/ QUOTE ] Good thing he had poker to fall back on when he discovered how worthless his Stanford Physics PHD was in the real world |

The good news is that now there is a single table so hopefully updates can be very quick and very accurate... you'd hope and pray.
