Sheik hits a two outter on the river, only 1:4 for Forrest.

[/ QUOTE ]

I was at Caesars and could watch the action on a monitor while playing. Forrest returned the favor by hitting a two-outer (pocket 44 making a set) on the turn when he was all-in.

Four former WSOP champions biting the dust today. Harrington, Mortenson, Brunson, and Raymer all eliminiated. Sheiky is in the sweet 16 though, cinderella story of the tournament.

[/ QUOTE ]
I dunno, I think that Ernie Dureck guy beating both Scotty Nguyen and Paul Phillips to make the Round of 16 was a better "Cinderella" story.

Sheik just has something to rub in Matusow's face at this year's WSOP.

Calling Shawn a "Cinderella" story is a joke the guy has been playing high limit poker for a long time. He is a better poker player then more than half the field. He beat Gus, Doyle, David Grey and Danny those are 4 nice wins for someone who cant play.

He won about 75,000 playing heads up against mike at Caesar's the other night.

Ted Forrest moves all in from the button and Chris Ferguson calls. Forrest shows Kc-7d and Ferguson has Qc-Jd. The flop comes Kd-Qh-2h and Forrest stays ahead. The turn is the 4d and the river is Kh. Chris Ferguson has been eliminated.

Chris Ferguson earns $250,000 for his second place finish.

Ted Forrest wins the tournament and $500,000.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Ted Forrest is the [censored] man.

The tournament was pretty much decided on this hand. Pathetic suckout for Forrest. Tough break for Jesus.

[ QUOTE ]
Forrest Takes a Huge Lead
Log: After a flop of Kh-9h-6d, Ted Forrest bets $40,000 and Chris Ferguson calls. The turn is the Qd and Forrest checks. Ferguson fires $120,000 and Forrest calls. The river is the 6c and Forrest bets out $200,000. Ferguson takes a few minutes before just calling. Ferguson shows K-9 for two pair but Forrest flips over 6h-3h for trip sixes. Forrest rakes a huge pot and takes a commanding lead.

Ferguson is down to $220,000 chips.

I suppose you're overlooking the fact that Forrest had a flush draw with the sixes.

I'm not one to linger on bad beats, but remember, Forrest was all-in vs Durack preflop with ATo vs AA and chopped. Amazing what a great player with an extra life.
