[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I have never had steak that was not well done. It just does not seem appealing to me, but maybe one day I'll try medium well. [/ QUOTE ] just order a hamburger if you're gonna do that [/ QUOTE ] Actually, I like burgers fairly rare too but you need to be at a good restaurant that ensures that the center reaches a high enough temperature so that it's safe. [/ QUOTE ] they eat raw beef in korea. i like my hamburger so the outside is brown and the inside is not cooked. add tons of salt with each bite. |

[/ QUOTE ] This is just about how I like mine. for some reason though, I like a burger w/ all kinds of crap on it (lettuce, tomato, etc), a little more well done. but my favorite burger has nothing on it but maybe some soft cheddar, and is raw on the inside. |

I like burgers cooked a little more than steaks, but still pink throughout. I've accidentally gotten/made them uncooked in the middle a couple times and the texture was pretty nasty, imo.

Under cooking hamburgers is quite dangerous. Air and bacteria mix with the whole part of the hamburger not just the outside during the grinding process. I'm surprised so many people in the US prefer to eat their burgers rare.

[/ QUOTE ] I used to go to a butcher who would grind up "hamburger" meat in front of you when you ordered it. mmm. that said, at a good hamburger place I order medium-rare, other places medium. |
