After a long, rousing speech the main character shouts, "Who's with me?!?!" and the once reluctant crowd thrusts their fists in to the air shouting "YEAAAHHHH!!!!!"
I actually saw a guy in college running for class president stand up on the table and do this in the cafeteria... it worked just like the movies. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

[/ QUOTE ] i'm fairly certain you can make up a lot of fake numbers that aren't so obviously fake. for example, the phone numbers in the wire all have the 410 (baltimore) area code and aren't 555- xxxx variations. the phone number thing is a pet peeve of mine. when they make up an adress in the movies it isn't always 555 Fake St. They come up with something believable. Another one that's more of a scene than a line, but totally overused:
Main character is in front of a group of people and "takes a stand" by making a bold but controversial statement/opinion. The crowd stands there in stunned silence, until a single person starts the "slow clap": "clap... clap... clap...", with other members of the crowd eventually joining in the rousing crescendo of clapping. Also, the tagline in so many previews for sequels: "This time, it's personal!"

Because stupid ass people go to the movies and then go home and try to call the characters that they just saw. "Hello? Is Indiana Jones here?"
