Is it possible that the last time they played, Eric gave Phil a 10 handicap? Since Eric will no longer give Phil a handicap, maybe they haven't actually played a match recently. Thus, Ivey wouldn't be lying, but he still would be stretching the truth quite a bit.

Why are people questioning his reputation. These are poker players. You make that kind of wager and you don't do your HW you deserve to have your pockets empty. If anyone's reputation is hurting, it sure isn't Tiger's... I mean Phil's.

Whatever anyone thinks of sandbagging...whether it's a bettor's edge or doucheish (I'm in this camp) he's just killed a ton (if not all) of his action. Now he may not care since he has made a significant score...but it could have been milked for a lot more IMO.

Again, I offer a reminder that YOU agreed to the terms and YOU chose to accept Ivey's claim with no verification, despite the fact that a simple phone call to Eric Lindgren would have exposed the hustle/lie/cheat and avoided all this ill will.

I happen to be of the opinion that one should take responsibility for making bad bets. The bottom line is that there is no lesson better learned than the one that costs you money.
