KBZ, For the record how long have you been a Pats fan? I have been a Chiefs fan for 24 year now. X [/ QUOTE ] I've been a Pats fan for 150 years. My opinions must be important and informed now, right? |

I'm a huge Jets bandwagoner. I didn't start liking them until the early 90's.

the colts are certainly a better team than the pats, the way each is playing. [/ QUOTE ] 18 games is a more significant sample than 2 games. (I didn't start watching the Patriots until their SB 31 run when I was 9.) |

for those that think it's a luckbox franchise, this team basically had no luck from it's founding right up until...the 6th round of the 2000 draft. [/ QUOTE ] I think drafting Bledsoe over Leaf qualifies as a good beat. I agree with that statement, except I shift the luckbox changing to when Kraft bought the team in the early 90s. |

How exactly have the Pats played better than the Colts throughout the Season. The Colts did play poorly near the end of the season, but throughout the season, the Colts played a MUCH tougher schedule and played very well atleast W wise against playoff teams.
Colts Games against Playoff Teams: @NYG-W 26-21 @NYJ-W 31-28 @NE-W 27-20 @Dal- L14-21 Phi- W 45-21 Thats 4-1 against Playoff teams, with 4 of the games being on the road. Additionally, they played "near" playoff teams, Jacksonville, Tennesee, @Denv, Cincy to a 4-2 record with 3 of those games being on the road on top of what they've done in the playoffs. Likewise NE- They are 2-2 against playoff teams this season. @NYJ-W 24-17 Indy-L 14-17 Chicago-W 17-13 NYG-L 14-17 And they are 4-1 against close teams such as @Tenn, @Jack, Denver, @Cincy, @GNB. Being 3-1 on the road against playoff teams is a pretty impressive record. I'm not saying the Colts will win but I don't think the Pats have been that better than the Colts all season long. It's easy to argue that the Pats looked better the last 5 or so games, I can't argue that but the Colts were way more impressive the first 10 weeks. |

the 2 teams were very close this year. same records, very similar DVOA, and the Vegas odds say they are even on a neutral field.

I can't wait to be a bandwagonning douchebag Brady slurper this weekend at the RCA Dome.
What do people think of a giant picture of belichick with a caption reading "Hoosier Daddy?" (eh, something tells me it's been done and exectued much better already) |

The most intriguing part of this game that isn't talked about is the fact that this might be the Colts last shot at the SB. The CBA helped them out a whole lot this year, but their salary cap situation is looking grim this upcoming season. A huge hit is going to be Freeney, he will most likely be due 7.8 million next year at the DE position, it's either that or he's gone. McFarland is their 2nd round pick this year as well.
I doubt that the players look into these situations, but Manning might be looking at a bad situation for the next few years and might not be back in an AFC Championship game. Don't believe me? Ask the Titans and Jaguars how worrying about today hurt them. |

The Colts are nowhere near the cap situations faced by the Titans and Jags. They have Peyton, Marv, Reggie and Addai all locked up for at least 2 more seasons. The teams you mentioned had nothing close to that.
