hank you for choosing Absolute Poker; it is a pleasure to be of your assistance. We appreciate you notifying us about what happened at the tables. Please note that we started an investigation and we will follow the proper protocol to guarantee that this incident does not occur again. It is against our policy to reveal anything about another player or a player’s hand, so the actions taken against those suspected customers cannot be discussed with you. However, I thank you for bringing this activity to our attention. If there is anything else we can assist you with please let us know. Sincerely, Kent Team Absolute ~ Security & Control Department Phone: 1.877.887.6537 "To Continue to be the best and most trusted" [/ QUOTE ] could someone explain the reason for the bolded above? it seems it would only benefit absolute. they dont need to confirm nor deny bots at their site since that's there policy. they have players policing their sites and almost harassing their CS dept to take a look at a player's behavior, and they in turn wont respond to the reports? as a customer, i want to know what was found and what was done so i can know if im comfortable playing there. |

could someone explain the reason for the bolded above? [/ QUOTE ] AP can call you a cheater for no reason. They can seize all your money without evidence. Probably you have no legal recourse whatsoever under their account agreement even if you are clearly innocent. But if they tell *me* that you are banned for being a cheater, then you can sue them for libel. That's a common reason many corporations won't discuss employee discipline with outsiders. This probably isn't the only reason AP doesn't discuss other players, but it is a legitimate one. |

[/ QUOTE ] im not an attorney but i think it would be easy to avoid a libel suit. if absolute (or any site) wrote 'based on our evidence there is suspicious activity from acct'... i dont know how someone could legally call that into question. i remember an incident at stars where i was playing a SNG and it was down to four handed. i suspected two players were colluding and reported it to stars. stars took about a week but wrote back that there was a history of the two playing together and it appears they soft played each other often. i was told they were not allowed to play together again. i was happy that 1. i was kept informed and 2. there was some repercussion for their action. |

okay, so someone made some pots and has them only playing the microlimits?
I can see and understand the reasons for the complaint, but even the most advanced poker bots are still a joke if you know what you are doing (Im talking Vexbot and Sparbot), I wouldnt mind playing bots in my games, from what Ive seen and know its not something Im worried about. |

Yep he is exactly right. Even if the bots are not that good now, there is no doubt that in the near future they will be. There has even been talk of colluding bots, which would be a nightmare to play against.

Interesting development.
Was at a table with suspected bots Tommy G and LawFlukeIt tonight and was able to engage LawFlukeIt in a discussion. His initial responses were "Yes, LOL" to every question, but then started actually conversing. I asked him if he was a prop player and he said no, he just plays a lot. He says he 12 tables ( 4 each on AP, UB, and another one I forget), so doesn't do much talking. I guess we can scratch him off the list, unless he just decided to use the account to do a live session for a change. I still find it strange that someone with those kind of numbers (21/18/3.2) would 12-table .10/.20 nearly 24 x 7, for at least a year without moving up. |
