[ QUOTE ] LOL @ the "this isn't a democracy!" crowd. This IS a democracy, that's the problem, the "bible thumping" crowd as you put it is millions upon millions strong and they vote. That's democracy. Obviously I want online poker legal and easy to access, but if hte majority of americans decide otherwise that's not a totalitarian state, that's democracy. As shocking as it may seem, 2+2 is NOT "mainstream" America. [/ QUOTE ] [censored] you, seriously. I am as mainstream as they come. I have a wife, three kids and a dog. I hate getting up early but do so M-F to goto work. I vote in every election and pay my taxes. I do the best I can, and am constantly looking for ways to get ahead. For two years poker has helped me do that. For some overpriveleged jackoffs in the Senate to ramrod through legislation that potentially makes it harder to pay my bills, without even a debate pisses me off. I have voted Republican for a long time. But I take this personally. I am not going to rush out and vote Democrat, but you can damn well bet it will be a long time before I vote for another Republican. This happened on their watch, and it happened because they cater to these semi-educated creation teaching retard [censored], who have are tooo uptight because they have never masturbated or engaged in oral sex, because their afraid their dead God will see them. So yeah like the OP said [censored] em. [/ QUOTE ] You realize that regardless of how stupid people are they get just as many votes as you. |

I can't believe people would decide to live in a country that controls everything you do and think [/ QUOTE ] I don't recall getting to choose where I was born... ...but I guess I can choose which country I die in and pay taxes to. |

dude are you [censored] dense or just a political troll? its a [censored] defense bill that had [censored] attached to it. do you honestly think that any senator wouldve voted down something important like that because some [censored] like frist attached an anti-gaming bill to it? jesus christ can you please shut up already? [/ QUOTE ]I'll explain it to you again since you didn't read the first time: The majority party determines what gets attached to what and what gets voted on. Still waiting for you to explain why ZERO Republicans denounced the attachment on the floor while many Democrats did since as you claim both parties are equally guilty and all. |

[/ QUOTE ] Frist has a lot of political say that's why. Also I can imagine the republicans don't want to argue with each other too much seeing as they probably will be losing quite a few seats in congress this election. |
