yeah, and the minraiser is a shortstack, and he's exactly in the middle of the action so he can't CR or bet properly, and he's OOP in general of course, and odds are he doesn't play 92s with positive expectation postflop either

Preflop i would fold though.
It's true you are getting in cheap, but your hand is horrible.
With this many players it's good to have A3s or K2s, not 92s, cause you might already be against a higher flush.
I bet you wouldn't post this hand if someone had Ah5h.

i remember playing this hand horribly...my "thought process" behind it was he was doing it with at best top pair or maybe 2 overcards trying to buy the pot or FD so i tried to isolate the shorty and i ran into a set in the set....yes pretty bad but i wasnt tilting which makes it worse lmao

yes this preflop call is bad.

also, the 92s preflop call is fine, preflop at least. On the flop jam it when it gets back to you.

also his call isn't so bad, try to see things objectively.

edit: i misread and thought you were bb, ie 12-1, actually you were sb so 8-1. Eh it's bad but not disastrous.

I fold all the time to raises when I am out of position and playing suited connectors. I like to see flops against weak villains in position.

In this case I will stand by my decision. I called $3 for the perfect scenario. $3 doesn't mean all that much to me. It could have meant a $600 pot if the river is a 5,J,etc.

The fact of the matter is minus the preflop call where I was certain I had to call $3 into $16 I got a guy to get all his chips in the pot well behind.

As soon as he raised me on the flop I said the guy either has middle set or bottom set and I'm going to check/fold the turn if the board is paired or shove if its safe. I did just that.

As he was deciding in the chat box I almost typed in set no good, I have flush, so that he wouldn't call and suck out on me. But I went against that because why should I not want this guy to call when he has 10 outs?
