Mark Garner Doubles Up
Mark Garner is all-in preflop with 7club7diamond against Siddharth Jain's AheartKclub. The board comes 10club9club3diamond8diamondQheart, and Garner doubles up to $1,380,000. Jain is now down to $2,850,000.

Richard Wyrick Doubles Up
Richard Wyrick raises $120,000 before the flop, only to be re-raised to $290,000 by Rob Berryman. Wyrick comes back over the top and all-in for another $765,000. Berryman calls and flips over AspadeKdiamond while Wyrick shows AclubQdiamond. The board comes Qspade9heart8club5heart7spade, and Wyrick's pair of Queens isg ood enough to double him up to $1,700,000. Berryman is left with $2,420,000 after this hand.

John Lee pushes all-in from early position. Andrew Schreibman makes the call from late position and shows AJ. Lee is in trouble with A8. The board comes 776K10 and Lee is eliminated in 44th place. After the hand, Schreibman is up to $2,500,000.

Not excusing the play, but

If someone started on day 1A, this is their 6th day playing, 10th overall. Many probably figured to be back at work today. Already 60+ hours of pressure. 90K in the pot before any action, a number that probably seems unreal to many players as is an average stack of nearly 2M. Bustout money is a quarter million and many invested little to get there.

Maybe there is just a sense of "unreality" for many of the players.

Or not.

OMG OMG OMG! I've never played poker before, so I don't understand that a BUTTON raise could be any 2, a SB resteal is often done with much less than premium cards, and I don't have the balls to ever try re-resteaing against two players who are unlikely to have monster hands. As well, OMG! I like to pass up very reasonable chances to increase my stack by 20%. OMG WTF!!!!!

Lynch thinks for a few moments and finally makes the call, saying, "I have a 10." Lynch shows 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and Raeburn shows J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] , Raeborn is drawing dead. The river brings the 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and Paul Raeborn is eliminated in 43rd place. He will receive $247,399.

Yeah, I think it's a tough call with QQ there. And if he folds, it's a great play.
