I don't mean this in a negative way, but that's silly. If ever there were threads where the history doesn't matter, it's these. Especially the t.v. one

[/ QUOTE ]

I'n not saying lock them. Just start a new one once a week or so. Having 50+ page threads is just stupid in my mind. From my personal preference I don't want to deal with slogging through 5 months of posts in one thread. Even flat (which I use) and even just clicking on the last page. You still can miss plenty just clicking on the last page so my attitude is why bother?

At least it wasn't one of those filthy PMs you've been sending me.

Right after I did that I thought Jesus Christ, what on earth did I do that for? Thank God it wasn't a PM to Colt.

(I think that's the first time I've posted in the wrong thread )

You wind up full of self-doubt, never satisfied, and just plain hapless.

You need more confidence, girl. Diebitter, can you whip up for Katey that picture of the cat looking in the mirror?

I don't know why you would feel compelled to look at all the other pages anyway. Especially since you yourself then say "Why bother?" I agree. Why bother?

The other pages being there doesn't affect anything. I mean, you can find them somehow uncomfortable if you want to, but that's pretty much your own doing and hardly mandatory. I don't know why you're going out of your way to do that to yourself.

I don't do that to myself, and wouldn't recommend it to anybody else.

I just read until I'm happy with the amount I've read, and then I'm done. Works for me.

I definitely wouldn't want to shape threads into the size of whatever I'm comfortable reading at the time. How much I read is really all about me, not the thread, anyway.

FWIW,

I don't start that many threads anywhere. But some threads I put in OOT simply because they're too insubstantial (I assume) to belong here. On the other hand, occasionally I wish I could put those threads here because I'd rather discuss it within this community.

This is not a complaint, just an observation.

Why not just put it in and see what happens?

Wynton

In here please!

Use some of your considerable energy and vocabulary to start a thread or two, and you have my full agreement.

I feel the same way sometimes.
