BTW, can Aaron Sele get some work? It just seems like it has been forever since he has been in a game. Maybe I just missed him. But in an 8-1 game I figure it wouldn't be a bad spot for him.

On a side note, ESPN must be dying. Last night's game was a laugher and tonight's game is a joke between the Braves and BoSox.

I just assumed I was hallucinating. Didn't bother to ask. What's next, someone will pitch into the 9th inning? Randolhp will let the #2 hitter drive in a run after a leadoff double instead of bunt to bring up an automatic K?, find out tommorow!

omfg, i go away for a day and people are seriously entertaining the notion that 'AAA prospects are worthless'?!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????

Yeah, it was so worthless to the Mets when AAA prospects Jose Reyes and David Wright came up to the big leagues. It's so worthless that this also allowed the Mets to sign these guys for pennies on the dollar til 2010+. Worthless AAA pitcher Scott Kazmir was given away for innings eater Victor Zambrano. Come on man. Who would you kick out of the rotation for Buerhle? Especially with Pedro coming back? Dye would be an upgrade somewhere, but he's here for one season. Milledge could be better right now, not to mention the 4+ years of service time he has left. If we butcher the farm system to get a few rentals I will be so unbelievably pissed that I might have trouble following this team.

The only rental you can even consider is a mega star or an ace when you are talking about giving away Milledge or Martinez, and you can talk about getting guys like Dye for Pelfrey/Mulvy if you want. I wouldn't do it, but you could theoretically justify it(and this assumes Green plays way worse and Alou never comes back, since Alou is the same exact thing as Dye anyway). Let the Mets ride this one out. They can't lose every game. Pedro will be back at some point. Glavine won't be this bad.

Willie does piss me off on a nightly basis, though. You have that right.

I probably like Bob more than most, but his absurd posts regarding Glavine's value as a Met and his general attitude about what the Mets need to change are so alarmingly crazy that I figured it would be safest to just take everything he said at face value.
