My calling 3bet range is WAY too narrow for villains (the hands I put them on) . People call with KQ, K9s, and tags call with any PP.

Clay, you make a brave effort, but I'm afraid no one will hear you

Rainclouds, your are right that lags have bigger SD's, but forget that Clay comparred nits with 2-3ptbb winrate to lags with 7ptbb winrates.

The former are more likely to bitch in the brew, chesse or whatever forum nc thread they happen to bitch in.

[/ QUOTE ]
I was solely explaining to Tickner why lags have bigger SD from a mathematical point of view - my post was in no way referring to either winrates or Claytons posts, or to the bitching of players.

But yeah, now we're at it, of course the low-winrate players are bitching more, because when they are running bad, they are actually losing money, which hurt them more than the high-winrate players who often just "win less" during bad runs. Also, the high-winrate players have a better general understanding of the game so they are better at peace with downswings.

Move down and experiment with expanding it in position. It is definetely worth your time.

Sorry I meant what hands I put them on. Like I assume (wrong) that when someone calls my 3bet they have like AQ+ TT+.

And fwiw, 95% chance that someone who claims to be making 7 ptbb/100 is either lying or doesn't understand statistics (or both!)

[/ QUOTE ]

LOL keep telling yourself that.

(ps. don't want to get into a d**k-waving war, I'm sure you make way more hourly than me, but IMHO 15 ptbb/100 long term is very possible at 100-200NL)

My WR since October is like 7ptbb across all games and has been going up steadily since January. I'm way better at poker right now than I was six months ago.

curious what you guys think of this hand from a video on stoxtrader's site

.5/1 6max

Hero raises with 88 in CO, reraised by unknown. he calls

heads up on flop: A84 (two clubs)

hero check calls

turn is a J (not a club). check check

river is Tc, check check

[/ QUOTE ]

And people, like, pay to learn from him? I think I'll start up a video training site tomorrow then.

[/ QUOTE ]

you must have missed my rant last months cheese thread.

my rakeback guys give me free stox membership and i watched and few and they are atrocious, i assume stox is only good for limit because im positive they arent that great at NL cash.

[/ QUOTE ]

this is honestly the first negative feedback I have seen - I do look for it too. feel free to post/email why you think this - I do pretty well in NL so I'm positive my play is not the problem.

[/ QUOTE ]

1)Set-mining in 3-bet pots sucks.
2)Set-mining oop in 3-bet pots really sucks.
3)Checking two streets with a set REALLY REALLY REALLY [censored] sucks.

[/ QUOTE ]

im assuming you did not see the video OR read the part where I said I did not play the hand - tho it is my video it is partly a coaching session in realtime.

I am always interested in constructive criticism but I won't really spend much more time responding to this type - if you want to make some informed constructive criticism PM me and I will give you a one month pass to our videos.
