I can't see how it's not Freaks and Geeks.

This show was the equivalent of Arrested Development before Arrested Development, except it just got flat out cancelled. Amazing show.

12 episodes and a full season before cancelling. So not applicable in the tight definition of OP.

If it is counted, though, i echo this. Pure genius.

This thread should be, "Other than Firefly, what is the Greatest Show That Lasted Less Than One Season?"

If you haven't seen firefly, you haven't lived. It's like being 24 and still a virgin, only much worse.

Watch every episode of firefly, then watch the movie serenity, then watch firefly all over again 5 more times like I did. It's worth it.

i liked Cracked Up, which was on Fox

it had the Rushmore kid plus shooter mcgavin from happy gilmore plus molly shannon; was funny for the 3 episodes before Fox canned it

Life on a Stick was another funny Fox comedy that lasted maybe 8 episodes last spring or fall

Reunion was good last fall on Fox but got canned before they got to the present day show and we could find out the killer

Waterfalls was good on fox 2 years ago but only lasted 5-6 episodes, tho u can get the dvd to see all 13 episodes

the common theme here is that Fox tends to find good shows but then kills them off before they get a chance (and most of those shows were moved around in bad timeslots, taken off for 3 weeks then randomly back on then back off, etc)

Of those I've seen I'd say:

Wonderfalls
Police Squad
Greg the Bunny

I plan on watching The Prisoner and Firefly, and I've only heard great things.

Committed on NBC was great. I really don't understand how that didn't make it.

Greg the Bunny and Undeclared were good calls as well.
