Why is SNG rake so high?

1) i wrote a draft email above. feel free to use it as a template.

2) the idea of getting together a group of good 2p2 players, and have them mass migrate to another site is self-evidently stupid. i want to minimise the number of 2p2 players in my games, not maximmise it.

Josem's template is a great start- I suggest that everyone modify it to their liking and IMMEDIATELY send it to [email protected] and [email protected] . Also tell anyone else you know that plays online SNGs- if a hundred people or so send e-mails these sites will listen up.

Anyways we are probably still a reasonable underdog for anything to come out of this, but I feel like Pokerstars might try some SNG promotion eventually just to beta test this idea. Any suggestion that has the potential to make them money I'm sure they'll listen to.

Lol you keep speaking in absolutes despite the fact you have no clue what you're talking about.

The sites will reduce rake if they feel they will make more money by reducing it or that they stand to lose business if they don't reduce it.

Hundreds of people have emailed Stars several times over the last year about adding HU cash tables and it still has yet to be done or even acknowledged that Stars will do it. I imagine a few hundred STTers bitching about the rake won't be much different.

Last summer, I was personally invited by Lee Jones to have lunch in order to discuss how to make improvements on Pokerstars- implementing a VIP program was something we discussed that day. I also got offered a position to work at their headquarters offshore. Not that my opinion carries a ton of weight or anything, but significant changes have been made in the past. Their management is a bit stubborn but they definitely listen.

Anyways please just send your emails and we'll see what happens.

i really don't think the site pays anyone money to move money between two poker players' accounts

i think sending 100 emails is a lot less classy than having a post/thread/site set up with 100 "e-signatures" and then having one person email them in a polite manner as a representative.

I'm all for lowering rake, but I doubt it will happen.
If there is a day where everyone "strikes" I'm going to grind like crazy. Also getting p5's will help the more people who help the better.

This is very silly and pointless, one day of good profit is not even close to the benefit you will gain by having the rake lower.
