Furthermore, Pokerbob and the Matt Hughes looking guy to his right were good players... but to call anyone that plays 30-60 and below "world-class" is a bit of a stretch.

[/ QUOTE ]

You have never heard of Schneids, or bicycle kick, both of who are regulars in that game and are world class players. Canterbury is for giggles, Schneids was playing 1k/2k this time last year in Bobby's room.

[/ QUOTE ]

No I haven't... those limits are WAY out of my league and I would have no use for knowing who those players are... and unlike most other 20-30 year old poker players I'm not a poker groupie

[/ QUOTE ]

You don't need to be a poker groupie to know about them, they are some of the most prolific posters in the middle and High Stakes forums. And I remember when they were both playing 3/6 and making posts in the Small Stakes forum. If you spent more time in those places you would see a lot more hands that are as agressive and odd if you have never played a game with this level of aggression as you witnessed. Schneids and BK are perfect examples how anyone who puts enough effort into their games can take the leap of faith into the high stakes arena once they build the bankroll.

I guess I'm just trying to make this "leap of faith"... how do you build an adequete bank roll playing 30-60 to jump into the agro games at commerce that are 200-400???

[/ QUOTE ]

A little thing called Online Poker. None of these guys were pro-live players, they built their rolls online.

[/ QUOTE ]

some built it by playing live and taking shots at the morons in LA. i know several guys who have done it this way. one of them has even told me he will fly me to LA, put me up at the commerce and put me in the 1/2 game, as those players are so bad that even i can beat them.

However, I regularly play 40-80 at commerce, 30-60 at the Wynn, and at times I've played a bit higher on line.

[/ QUOTE ]

Commerce 40/80 plays like Vegas 15/30 with a lag in it. 30/60 at Wynn can turn into a very agressive game some nights, but generally its kinda weak tight. I can only guess, but it sounds like you have never been exposed to this level of agro play before.

[/ QUOTE ]

Possibly... however... from what I've seen and heard (from live players and 2+2ers)... the 40-80 at commerce is the wild west.

[/ QUOTE ]

My 120 or so hours in the Commerce 20 game and 8 or so hours in the Commerce 40 game experience lead me to believe that the majority of people who think the Commerce games are the Wild West usually suck at poker And as most regulars know, I think that the vast majority of 2+2'ers are not very good - they use 2+2 as a crutch to avoid the truth.

Yes these games are looser than Vegas, and yes they are more agressive, but they aren't very agressive at all unless you have a maniac sitting in the game from my admittedly limited experience. In fact I found the games at Commerce to be quite soft!

Schneids and BK have played up to like 1k/2k live and Schneids is like one of the biggest winners on 200/400 Stars. I think this is what he is talking about when he mentions "world class".

Knowing this makes me feel like such a stalker, I think I'm turning into PBob.

On a side note, I just realized I have won over 200 bets playing 20/40 in less than 50 hours. That is absolutely retarded. I should go pro and forget moving up from 40 to 75 and move down to 20 only.

BTW please keep argument coming, this paper looks really boring.

[/ QUOTE ]

there are at least 2 other regulars in the CB 30 game who play 100/200+. the best limit players come from MN. this is widely known.

[/ QUOTE ]

First of all... it might help if I had a real name or a face to go with Schneids or BK... were either of them in the game today?

Furthermore... your statement about "the best limit players coming from MN"... this is getting ridiculous.

I'm trying to be level headed and express what I saw today for what it was...

you're trying to turn this into a "my dad can beat up your dad type thing"...

I'm not trying to start some conspiracy theory... I am just sure that AT LEAST the two friends sitting at our short handed table today were cheating.

if the commerce 40/80 was down the street from me, i would never have to work again and would be plenty wealthy.

wait a minute TT... why are you allowed to make a blanket statement about a game you spent 8 hours in and I can't make one about a game I spent 4 hours in?

the 40-80 game at the commerce is wild not due to the strong aggressive play of good players... it's wild because of the loose crazy dudes that want to gomble.

Actually this is a commonly known fact that at one time was true (its probably changed at this stage). Most very good high limit players would agree.

I know the regular brilliant players in that game. I can use both my limited experiance and their insight to come to a rational conclusion that balances my lack of hours booked in the casino.
