He doesnt get ranked yet. I didnt even throw Mr. 50 Cent in there yet because he's a pop artist.

good call on Cassidy as a great lyricist. certainly not greatest MC of all time...but def good with words.

others to note:

Royce Da 5'9"
Deltron 3030
Jae Millz (a lot of his mixtape stuff is amazin)
Slug (i actually do like a lot of his vocal stuff)
Lloyd Banks (any mixtape stuff, his albums r'nt a great representation of what he can really do)
Immortal Technique
Mos Def
Mr. Lif (most of the time, hes nice)

thats all i can think of off top...

Pretty much agree. I'm sure the mixtapes he's put out are also pretty gangsta, just that it seems now his focus is on making music as poppy as possible. Take Buck the World that cam eout recently and 50 executive produced. While Buck's lyrics are pretty hard every other beat is poppy as hell and it doesn't gell at all. I like very few songs on the album and only one of them is one of the singles (4 kings).

I'm actually hoping 50 cent kicks Buck out of G unit, probably be best for Buck at this point.

Heard any of the DJ green lantern mixtapes?? Invasion II is my favorite, during the 50/Ja beef. Also, Obie Trice is one of the most underrated MC's out right now.

Content of every game rap:

1) insulting rappers seemingly at random
2) Talk about gangbanging/lowriders
3) Mention Dr Dre every other bar
4)???
5)Profit

The Game is a decent rapper, but he gets boring to listen to. "Beef" is bad for rap and he's got more of it then anybody (except 50 I guess). It's like he trys to start drama so he can rap about it. *And his obsession with Dre is just weird.*

edit-* and this is comming from a big Lil Wayne fan who has to put up with all Lil Wayne and Birdman's antics.
