Here's a thread by someone who indicates that UB nolonger takes MoneyBookers, eventhough UB still lists MB as an option.

Bobo...you may want to edit the master list to reflect this discrepency.

UB and MoneyBookers

[/ QUOTE ]

You may not have noticed I am one of the posters in that thread, as I am having the same difficulty...with both UB AND Party. I have also posted about it in this thread. However, I have no reason to believe that UB is not taking MB anymore, I think there is just some glitch ATM. Since I have an MB deposit to UB hung right now, I'm on top of it...will remove them if necc, but I don't think that's appropriate quite yet.

Edit to add: Just got a PM from someone in Europe who just successfuly deposited via MB to UB...it was instant. Sounds like a good sign.

I have read this thread but I'm feeling pretty dense at absorbing this info.

Is it safe to say there is no longer be a free way to transfer money from one poker site to another?

Is it also now impossible to transfer more than $1K between sites at a time?

Thanks for everyone who has been providing information in this thread, especially Bobo. I'm trying to stay positive about this but it doesn't seem like there is going to be any good news to come out of this.

I was initially rooting for those Neteller execs to beat the charges by the US DOJ. But now I have changed my mind and I hope they are hung for abandoning the Canadian market for no reason.

Hmmm...you're right, you may need to work on that info absorbtion. LOL j/k, it IS a lot to take in right now.

However, I don't think it is quite as bad as you say. It appears to me that MB, C2P, and ePassporte will ALL be ways to move money on and off sites for free. We're all just learning about things like fees, limits, etc. MB certainly appears to be free, and it looks like the transaction limit will be close to $20,000 moving FROM MB every 90 days, if you complete their 3 verification steps. C2P and ePassporte, I'm not too sure about limits yet. Once we learn more about these, I'll be sure to add them to the list of sites, so all the information is in one area.

Note when I say for free, I believe there WILL be fees for loading the eWallet, and for cashing out from the eWallet as well. However, for me, and I believe the majority of us, this is not a big deal. As long as we are not getting whacked every time we move money back and forth from poker sites, I think we'll be all right.

OK, finally got my C2P activation code. Turns out my spam filter was catching it. I should mention here, this is the default Telus filter, I didn't even know it was on. The reason I didn't know is that I don't believe in the last 5 years, it has EVER caught a "non-spam" email, at least not that I know of. In spite of this, it seems C2P got caught...just something you all might want to watch for.

I don't have time to get things going right now, I have a meeting to go to shortly, but I'm already seeing some good things, one that contradicts an earlier post in this thread.

Even though they make you link the account to a CC when you sign up, once you have an account, they have an option to fund the eWallet from your bank account. Woo-hoo! Says it's free, and takes 2 days. Actually, what's really strange, is that is the ONLY funding option I have. So why did I give them CC info? Very odd.

Two withdrawal options - cheque (A Canadian-oriented thread...I can spell it with que!) or ATM card. The only fees they show on the card are $10 to actually get the card, and a monthly dormant charge of $5 after 6 months. Sounds a lot better than that friggin Neteller card. I'm not going to pay $10 for one, though, until I know a LOT more about C2P.

The big "gotcha" about C2P might be currency. You can only open an account in Canadian $. They claim not to take anything on the exchange rate, but being a financial instiution cynic (aren't we all), I find that hard to believe. The easiest way to find out will be to try to deposit on to and cashout from the same site in one day, and see if I lose any $$.

Hopefully I can get to some of this tonight.

Bobbo I don't think canadians can use their bank accounts with C2P. I asked them in an email about this, and they said:
"Dear CLICK2PAY costumer,

Thank you for contacting the CLICK2PAY Service Team.

Unfortunately CLICK2PAY does only offer a the option 'credit card' to be registered as payment method.

We thank you for your understanding.

Should you have further questions about the information given above, please reply directly to this email, including our original text and ticket number. This will help us to deal with your inquiry much faster.

Please note: CLICK2PAY will never ask you via e-mail to disclose your login details on the Internet or to disclose or confirm your login details via telephone or fax.

Thank you for using CLICK2PAY.

The sad thing is that anyone with half a brain and some money could create one of these Ewallets and absolutely destroy these terrible options out there. We shouldn't have to run around like this just to find inconsistent answers. All the answers should be easily spelled out on the respective websites, but as I'm sure you've all seen, the info is sketchy or incomplete. That was the nice thing about Neteller - very easy to use, reasonable conversion fees, easy setup and good CS which responded quickly. It's almost like these Ewallets are fighting NOT to get our business...I guess this is standard in this industry as the poker sites CS is garbage for the most part as well.

Sigh. Clearly this is going to require some emailing. I can see where they have my CC registered, but I can find nowhere to make a deposit with it. Under "funding", all they have is Wire Transfer/Bank Deposit. Unfortunately, like MB, they can't initiate it...I have to send the transfer from my bank. At least their bank is in Canada, so it should be relatively easy. I just want to find out what the real story is here...I only need to get a few dollars on there so I can deposit to a site where I have some money, and then cashout back to C2P. Hopefully that won't be TOO difficult.

And what is with the stuipd little window I have to do everything in? Once you're logged in, it opens up a 1/4 size IE window where you do everything with your account, and it can't be resized. Annoying.

I'll likely keep using Party for withdrawals like I have in the past.

[/ QUOTE ]

Am I missing something in Party. Are you somehow transferring funds to Party from other poker sites and then ETF those funds to your bank directly from Party???

thanks

Yes I have always used party eft withdrawal to my canadian dollar TD account, quick and no fees. Given the new change, I was thinking of going to TD and opening a US dollar account and linking it to party poker directly. I assume the withdrawals will be the same as for my canadian account but does anyone know about the depositing to party method? Is it quick? Is there a hold? Will the banks even let me deposit into Party poker directly? Thanks for the info.

click2pay only accepts bank wire deposit to its HSBC account in Toronto. I can't deposit cash or transfer money from my TD to its HSBC account although I am in Toronto.

wire transfer fees:
http://www.tdcanadatrust.com/accounts/fees.jsp#foreign

Scotia bank:
$13 + 1%
is the cheapest, I think.
