Sublime's post was a little nasty for my taste, but for the love of God Oliver, shut up and stop making this thread all about yourself.

I don't think it has ever taken less posts for me to decide someone was a complete douche -- when they weren't 16yrs. old or tying to be a troll. Oliver--STFU

PS I am sure you are already canned.

Sublime is owning this thread.

Is there any chance that oliver isn't fired by all of his clients as soon as they read this thread?

I sound like a broken record, but I did NOT ruin a kid's life. That was never my intent. I don't know how many times I have to repeat posting what is below in order to get it through people's heads.
--
I got myself involved in the Robert Neary case (2006 Aussie Millions runner-up and PartyPoker satellite qualifier who was on a golf scholarship at Sonoma State University in Northern California) because I felt that PartyPoker exploited Neary by forcing Neary to break an NCAA rule regarding endorsements by making Neary wear a PartyPoker logo, WITHOUT compensating Neary, in order for Neary to play the Aussie Millions.

(The FSN TV post-production unit was fully aware of the case as well during post-production and FSN has to tap dance around the entire case carefully in order to stay out of trouble with the NCAA.)

PartyPoker changed its logo rule for satellite qualifiers in time for the 2006 WSOP, as PartyPoker chose to follow PokerStars by removing the cost of the hotel room from the packages and offering a hotel room at PartyPoker's expense to its satellite qualifiers who agree to wear the PartyPoker.NET logo.

Ultimately, the PartyPoker satellite qualifiers at the 2006 WSOP benefitted because I got involved in the Robert Neary case.

As for Neary, the NCAA slapped him on the wrist by making him sit out one weekend tournament at the start of the 2006 golf season. Neary, Sonoma State golf coach Val Verhunce, and Sonoma State athletic director Bill Fusco were satisfied with the way NCAA handled the case. I have corresponded with both Verhunce and Fusco afterward and they both understood WHY I chose the particular course of action and they both understood that hundreds of PartyPoker WSOP qualifiers benefitted as a result.

The only "bad guy" in the Robert Neary case was PartyPoker, which had to clean up its act after the NCAA and I (with assists from former PokerPages editor Amy Calistri and Santa Rosa Press Democrat newspaper sports reporter Eric Branch and sports editor Jim Barger) got involved.

Oliver, you really do live in a different world than reality.
Robert played in a qualifier that had T&C’s the expressly stated that he would have to wear PartyPoker.com logo gear should he win a qualifier. He chose to play in the qualifier, he won a seat, and PartyPoker.com made him live by that agreement. The only “bad guy” was Robert, who made a decision to play and possibly jeopardize his scholarship and NCAA eligibility.
And let me assure that your “involvement” (whatever that means) had no bearing on how PartyPoker.com treats endorsements, logo wear or qualifier packages. Qualifier packages continue to be given away with the same exact T&C’s that the 2006 Aussie Millions had.

Again, as J.J. Liu's agent, I ask the 2+2 audience to please refrain from posting insensitive remarks or taking cheap shots at J.J., Dan Alspach, or myself in order to justify your existence.

Oliver, with all due respect, you are posting this in a forum which currently features amongst the most popular threads one in which Men the Master is accused of being (or at least strongly implied to be) a wife beater, and another in which someone who won a huge Online Tourney in the last two months is accused of being a racist. That's what happens here.

I understand that you don't represent either of those players and you do represent JJ, and I also understand that some of the comments here have stretched the boundaries of good taste, but come on man! For better or worse, that happens. Heck, Jean and Evelyn have posted multiple times in this thread, and I'm sure someone with a decent facility for the search feature could come up with multiple posts that go way over the line in respect to those two ladies.

And, to echo some of the other posters, while I've enjoyed several of your posts, I think a lot of the vitriol in this thread has come not because of JJ and her actions, but because of you posting here.

You may not particulary care for that, but think of it in poker terms. If you've raised the last 5 hands, you need to think about your image as well as your hand, so while getting dealt 88 in LP might result in a raise, you're gonna get your ass called by marginal hands a lot more than if you had folded the previous orbit.

That's you - you've raised the last 5 hands. And now what you're saying is reasonable in isolation, but people with QTo aren't buying what you're selling.
