Could someone explain this for me?

-I was playing in a 45 person SNG.
-We were HU at the end
-I had my opponent outchipped ~3.5:1

Do I:
-Get first place money?
-Have both of us awarded second place money, with the balance disitributed by stack sizes?
-Probably not just split the unawarded purse prize

I'd appreciate an answer, because I cant completely comprehend the above statement.

You both will receive 2nd place money and the balance will be divided among the two of you in a ration equal to your chip equity.
