there is a huge gap in the % of girls:
-i would put any effort in, or having to deal with them; and, -some random that wants to sex and then will disappear after. so, pretty much what private joker said. it isn't worth it a lot of the time if she isn't cute or cool enough, so that % is lower. but as far as a mindless shag with no drama vs having a wank, the % is pretty high. also, i think there is a chance that there is a secret percentage of the population that is so hideous, that they hide themselves or wear masks, so no one even knows they exist. so the numbers may be skewed. i put this secret population of hideous beings as high as 10% of the population.

People are WAY overestimating the attractiveness level of the girls in that age range across the US. Your typical McDonald's employee will be a better representative than the average college girl.
College girls - I think 1/3 is about right. General population of girls ages 19-24 - I'll put it at around 5%.
