How reliable is "Capitol Hill Blue"? Do they carry any weight? Just curious.

At first glance it looks like a left-wing site to me. Nothing I've ever read and certainly not on a level with Roll Call, The Hill, National Journal, or Congressional Quarterly....which are the news papers/magazines of record for daily action in Congress.

I have never heard of that site before. As such, I wouldn't give it much weight.

just wanna say props to you yankees for working hard at pushing your grievance.

Is there anything us Euro Smegs can do to help, or are our voices completely extraneous to the issue?

why not email the senators/representatives anyway? Half the people who send emails probably won't mention their constituency or whether they pay US taxes, so you don't need to either.

This source is a few days behind the news. Developments within the next 48 hours are going to be broken by the AP, Reuters, Bloomberg, one of the Hill rags, or one of our insider posters.

Im going to call the offices of my Senator as well as Senators Frisk, Warner and Levin to let them know Im opposed to this ban. I dont think it'll do much good....calling/writing Senators usually doesnt IMO.

I think its funny how the government operates much like the mafia in regards to how they do business.....if they find out theyre not getting "their cut" they try and shut you down.

I'd also like to know whos pulling Senator Frisk's strings on this issue. He didnt just hop out of bed one day and decide that internet gambling should become a priotity. Wheres theres a politician theres an interest group. I wish I could find out who's persuaded Frisk to sponsor this bill.

And BTW, if you guys are looking for someone to contact who might take up this cause youd probably have better luck with an organization like the ACLU rather then a group that deals in on specific area like (the separation of Church and State).

I'm going to lock this thread since it has some older information in it. Trying to keep the most up to date info at the top for people.
