I lift my feet off the floor whenever I drive over railroad tracks.
Whenever I'm eating a hamburger, hotdog, or sandwich, I won't eat the last few bites. I'll eat until there's only a little bit left, and then leave the rest. Sometimes I'll force myself to eat the last little bit, but I always feel completely full by the time I get to the last few bites. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I can't watch embarassing moments on TV especially on sitcoms...if a character gets in an embarassing situation I have to change the channel. One of the many reasons I can't watch Friends: that's the plot of every episode. [/ QUOTE ] I thought it was just me who had this problem. Often I'll change the channel and that come back to the show when I think the awkward situation is over. [/ QUOTE ] Uh...me too. Occasionally I'll say to myself "You idiot, it's not even real" and force myself to watch it, but I never enjoy it. Glad to know there are other freaks like me out there. [/ QUOTE ] Count me in. I used to do it every time an embarrassing situation came up. As I got older it was less and less and now I almost never do it unless it's really bad. I think it's because it reminds us of our own embarrassing situations and that makes us uncomfortable. Though I never knew or heard of anyone else who did this before. |

[ QUOTE ] When a passenger of a car, I'll look out the window, and imagine a big stick figure running on top of the trees or buildings or whatever is outside. [/ QUOTE ] Wow, I spent alot of time doing this as a kid from the backseat of the minivan. Mostly I imagined the guy doing acrobatic things on the utility lines. [/ QUOTE ] i do this too, except i imagine myself riding a dirt bike alongside the road |

[/ QUOTE ] I did this + the embarassing moments on tv thing. edit: for me it was a sword. Entourage has had 4-5 where i've left the room (can't change the channel because my gf watches it with me). A specific one i remember is the scene where Ken thinks Johnny Drama wants to [censored] him so he gets naked and waits for drama. |

[ QUOTE ]
I have somewhat of an oral fixation. In that I chew the [censored] out of pens and straws. I got my tongue pierced thinking this would help. But it didnt. I have since taken it out 6 years later. [/ QUOTE ] What exactly is an "oral fixation?" Is it a sexual thing, i.e., do you like giving head more than most women, or is it not necessarily sexual, like you just need to chew on something all the time (pens, straws, etc.)? Anacardo, do not answer this question. |

[/ QUOTE ] actually maybe I do this this also. the other night i was watching blind date and they were at South Beach. this lil geeky 5'4 boy band wannabe had a date with a pretty cute normal looking chick. anyways throughout the date the boy band wannabe kept making cheesy lines and made himself look really stupid. the chick was being nice but she has a look on her face like " this guy is such a tool and doesnt know it". but throughout this epidsode i kept feeling really bad for this guy. after a while i started to feel embarrassed. lol. haha. The embarrassing stuff doesn't bother me too much if it's the first time I've seen it. But I can't watch it if I know what's about to happen. I'm like this for tv and movies.
Also, I have read-eat syndrome, where I have to be reading something whenever I am eating. |

As an interesting note,
Apparently, a word exists for "feeling embarrassed/uncomfortable for other people who are being embarrassed". However, I once read that this word only exists in an asian language (don't remember which). Why other cultures haven't adapted it, i'm not sure. Anyone know about this? |

This isn't something I do compulsively like a lot of other things being listed, but it is weird: I enjoy the eye-watering pain that occurs when I pluck out a nose hair.
