Recently I read a post about the +EV of stealing Blinds, In position in NL cash games. Note I am not talking about raising with Ax in late position, but a flat out steal with any two cards in a pot that is folded to you in the button or CO. What is your feeling on this, and do you incorporate it in your game.

[/ QUOTE ]

Read Pokey's post in the Master Sticky. All your blind stealing questions will be answered. I open a very large range on the button. Not quite ATC though.

Openlimping is very weak. By raising you can win the blinds outright. You seize the initiative in the hand so you can take the pot down on the flop with a cbet a lot of the time. When you limp you very often have to actually make the best hand to win the pot. It's just an attitude thing I got from watching CardRunners videos. Openlimping bad, openraising good.

3. Sickest bad beat you've ever taken.

[/ QUOTE ]
One of my first real shots at NL200 sitting 250BB deep I flopped top boat and he flopped quads. That one was pretty ugly.

[/ QUOTE ]
Could you define your version of "bad beat" for me?
The (admittedly extremely ugly) beat you've mentioned doesn't fit into my version of a bad beat, unless, of course, you went all-in preflop while ahead.

PS: I know, I'm a frikkin nit picker.

Oops, I'll be out of town."

Do you play guitar in a band? If so, what kind of music do you play? Do you play any other instruments?

How's the metal scene in UK compared to Finland where Iron Maiden's new album just debuted as #1

Is the only way to learn when to valuebet in the river to play lots of hands and post here? I'm having difficulties knowing when the villain was on a draw and when he has TP with weak kicker.

How's Full Tilt's NL100-200 player pool compared to Party (fish/solid multitabler ratio etc)?

I used to play in band but that died years ago. We did put out two EPs and played a few gigs, normal high school band crap. I guess you could characterize our music as a mixture between pre-Rubber Soul Beatles, Pink Floyd and solo flugelhorn concertos. I also play bass, piano and drums, and I can sing pretty good too.

Metal is one of the few types of music that I don't listen to (other than the occasional Metallica song every once in a while). In general Finnish music = crap.

I think it comes with playing a lot of hands and trying to put villains on hands the best you can. I can't really think of any other advice.

My experience at Party 100NL/200NL is quite limited, but I would say FTP has more 2p2ers per fish, or that's what it seems like anyway. But there are still plenty of bad players to go around at both sites, that's for sure.
