[ QUOTE ]
all, I'm out. I chipped to over 100k in the first hour. On the last hand at 600/1200, the big stack on my right (who'd gotten bigger - over 225k) raised from the SB to 3600. I called in the BB with the Ac7d. Flop came KT3 all clubs. He bet 6200 and I just called. The turn was the 8 of hearts. He bet 18k. I moved in for 78 more. It took less than a minute for him to call with Kh3s. Not only did I fail to spike a club on the river, he filled up. I'm not at all unhappy with the way I played. That stuff happens. I did not get lucky. [/ QUOTE ] Wow, is that really a typical semi-bluff move? |

Fri Aug 04 13:20:00 PDT 2006 Power Poker By Cunningham A player raises to $4,000 and Allen Cunningham re-raises to $60,000, enough to put his opponent all-in. His opponent folds and Cunningham takes down the pot. [/ QUOTE ] So...is this blind play? Thanks cardplayer! -- Any NL players wanna clue me into what this play could be if it wasn't blind play? |

Perhaps no other big stacks were left to act and any reraise commits the two to the pot so he just put him allin.

From a site that is not Card Player:
[ QUOTE ] Joe "The Show" O'Neill raised Phil Ivey's big blind. Ivey called. Flop was A-Q-x. Both players checked the flop and turn when rags fell. Joe bet out on the river. Ivey folded. Joe showed 9-4o. Ivey slid off his headphones and Joe said, "I'm sharing a room with Andy Black. I know how to play you." [/ QUOTE ] |

Negreanu Adds to His Stack
A player in mid-position raises to $5,000 preflop and is called by both Daniel Negreanu and Jason Fields. The flop comes 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and the mid-position player again bets out with $12,000. Negreanu calls and Fields folds. The turn puts the 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] on the board and both players check. The river brings the 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and Negreanu's opponent again checks. Negreanu shoots out with a $27,000 bet and his opponent calls. Negreanu shows 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] for trip 8's and his opponent mucks. His opponent later says he had Kings, which means his check on the turn let Negreanu catch up to take the pot. Negreanu now sits with $365,000. |
