This hand came up at the end of my session this morning vs Frink. He's been playing his normal wide open style and views me as a bad nit. I got my chips by stacking him 20 minutes earlier with JJ vs TT aipf. I also just stacked him on another table when I beat his flopped straight with a set that made a boat after the chips went in.
Edited to add: For those that don't know him, Villain is super aggro/borderline spewy and very good at reading hands. Two questions here, should this be a snap call on the river and what should my line on the turn be? this is definately not a call on the river. I prefer check calling turn, and re-evaluate river. If you had no pair, I would like your turn bet, but you have showdown value so why turn it into a bluff. As played you cannot call the river

FWIW I felt like if I checked twice I was going to see two barrels 100% of the time.

I would call here. Frink is capable, and does, float all kinds of [censored] as well as value betting light.
Sure you're going to get owned by A/x here occasionally, but if you always fold in this spot I think he's going to eat you alive. |

It doesn't look like a bluff to me because I don't think he's going to assume you are folding an ace all the time.

fold
i'd pretty much guarantee he has AX 1 pair here stacks are such that he'd be shoving any draw on the turn, as well as anything that beats AK (you are calling a turn shove with AQ/AK, right?) |
