[ QUOTE ]
If it is found out to be a bad deal done during this tourney it happened at the very worst time with the first place winner coming into question, how will they redistribute the money from that point? I would suggest they give me the overflow since it's seems I'm the only one with my original account. [/ QUOTE ] This is easy to deal with, rather than say a 5th place finisher who took the most money in a deal. Disqualify him, and everybody moves up a spot. Ka$ino gets the full 1.3 million and everyone else moves up 1 spot in the payouts. |

I have met mark on a couple of occasions and know many people who know him well and i know thatfor a fact that p2k account is his but it is almost never him playing on it. Although mark has had great tourney success, im pretty sure he is a pretty notorious cash game fish whos parents are very very rich. I have met a lot of cocky ppl in poker but possibly none who came off more instantly cocky than mark. Im pretty sure he did tell me something about having a ferrari or lambo or something within 10 minutes of meeting him.

[/ QUOTE ] And that persona comes across very abruptly from any shows Ive seen him on (EPT) Why would his stars account be used (by the sounds of things) mainly by other players. Esp if his SN is one of the biggest winners at 25/50 why would that player not have his own account |

whether these allegations come to be truth or not, i think you can see why on-line poker will not be legalized in the usa, anytime soon.
it's interesting how everyone was berating the usa for making on-line poker illegal based upon it being classified as a game of chance, when the real concern is that on-line poker does not have the security in place to prevent cheating. i will not be surprised if more euro countries start to ban on-line poker for security reasons. the on-line sites have very well demonstrated that they are more interested in raking in the rake today, rather than spending capital to provide the adequate security measures needed in today and tomorrow's on-line world. |

[/ QUOTE ] Surely you see how Stars taking action now is taking action against cheats. In fact they locked loads of accounts about a month back because of account sharing in cash games and tourneys. What you dont realise is that legislating the sites is the best way to secure them - look at the US, now you have a bunch of people still playing on these sites but your country has no influence whatsoever over them. These sites, certainly Stars anyway, are doing what they can in a difficult situation. Are there problems in online poker, of course. But the same can be said of any industry/business/government anywhere in the world. The fact is i gladly accept the risks associated with online poker because the positives massively outweigh any problems. The future is NOT banning online gaming, its a country as forward thinking as mine (the UK) setting up a government body and licensing system to regulate these sites in the same way as the Financial Services Authority regulates banks. |
