[ QUOTE ]
I stopped watching Bond after the Bourne movies came out. I am ecstatic to hear this. For once, producers are actually doing what I'd have wanted them to. For far too long James Bond has been this cartoon who could do anything with this smug little [censored] eating grin on his face. He *ought* to be some guy who you'd piss your pants seeing, not laugh. [/ QUOTE ] Well said. When Connery did it, especially at the start, he looked like he would put a bullet or a fist through you if you so much as cracked a joke. He had a calm but determined menace to him that I really liked. Just not a man to mess with at all. If he had a joke, unless you were on his team, it might not well be for the likes of you. I got the idea that if he wanted to extract information from you, he was gonna get it and you'd better just start talking before things got really bad. |
