Default PS 3r hand - Would anyone not call this push??

OK - this is NOT a bad beat post. I lost, and I really do not think I could get away from it. But the more I thought about, I started to wonder if a better player would lay this down. Here is the scenario---

51 left with about 2700 runners starting. I am in about 20th position chips wise, with about 250K. New table for me (been here for maybe 1 lap) and it seems very passive (my last table was a push fest). Here is the hand--
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t16000 (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

MP1 (t188214)
MP2 (t359142)
MP3 (t76768)
CO (t210758)
Button (t120878)
Hero (t244729)
BB (t329400)
UTG (t478532)
UTG+1 (t286416)

Preflop: Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls t16000, 4 folds, CO calls t16000, 1 fold, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (t62400) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets t16000, BB raises to t312600, UTG folds, CO folds, Hero calls t211929 (All-In).

Turn: (t602929) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t602929) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t602929

Results in white below:
Hero has Tc 7h (three of a kind, tens).
BB has 8c Th (three of a kind, tens).
Outcome: BB wins t602929.

Obviously when the flop hit, I was happy, I bet out, hoping for action, got it, insta called, and then was sad...

In reflection, my kicker sucks. Does anyone not call here? One line of thinking would be that this guy is in about the same position as me and woudl he really risk his whole stack on a bluff or over pair? Or am I just being results oriented....

I am not good enough to lay this down and I don't think anyone is. Tough to put him on better trips when he makes a ridiculous raise like that. I think this is a flush draw or medium pocket pair much more often. Tough break nothing you can do about it.

I don't minbet the flop, I make a half pot size bet. Then I call the push and go broke.

Nath, I normally don't mini bet like this, but this table had been sooo passive, I did not want to spook everyone out. Obviously, we now know the BB aint going anywhere.

Thanks everyone, good to know I was not alone in this one. Sometimes I just need a bit of a reality check to make sure I am are not over thinking things.

I also thought his overbet was rediculous. I guys he was looking to portray that he did not have a 10 by overbetting so badly. Where a smaller raise, would be a bit more suspicious.

I'm not sure how I feel about being confused with nath.

Anyway, with 4 people in the pot, I wouldn't be too worried about spooking them all out. Someone will call with a flush draw or overcards. Make sure you give them incorrect odds to chase the flush.

If you lay this down ever you don't like money.

No one considers folding this? Obviously, if you could see his hand you would fold. I don't think you can make a case for anything without a good read on BB. Does BB have any reason to think you are betting without a ten? Well the mini raise could be interpreted as "not a ten". Could BB push with a second 2 A kicker? Only read you have is very passive. I give him credit for the T and fold. Although, It is pretty close.

One other possibility is BB has an overpair. But I rarely see a BB check his option with a big pair. I've seem em cold call a raise, and push the flop no matter what. But I can't remember a BB checking his option with anything that he could push that flop with that you beat.

Best advice on the hand is bet more on flop.

If by results oriented you mean, understanding how people play and then adjusting. Very much so. If by you mean I called with the best of it and ending up with the worst of it. I try not to be, but sometimes I am for a bit. I went with what was in the OP. Final 57. Passive table. 2 limpers and blinds. FLOP TT2. Mini bet and a push. Tell me what he is pushing given the action? Change any of it and I'm sure I'm paying off.
