April 19, 2007

Rough session Just finished a rough session ending with me down 375K. Most of it was HU with Ivey. Overall I think I played well. I made two marginal calls/shoves which I was wrong on. Thats poker I think they were still good in the long run but many were maginal.

first big pot of the night

Looking at it now this one was close and probably should have passed.

another wrong call

So I started off stuck a quick 120K. Then lost this flip (I was about 54% to win).

losing a flip

After this and losing some more small pots I was stuck 250K and began making a comback. I had build my initial 60K stack up to about 120K. Then Phil and I played this big hand, which saddly ended up with me being sucked out on. I think my flop call was thin but I have my resoning for making it and feel I played this hand correctly on all streets.

rough hand

All in all a pretty crappy session. I am off to the bellagio tourny tomorrow. I haven't been playing to much poker recently and been doing alot with friends. I would like to get back on track on my plo since I still have ~40K hands to play of 25/50-100/200 plo before I get back to the big plo games. So this weekend I am not gonna play NLH except for the tourny unless there is a game I just can't pass on.

That's like 8-10 buyins down. Nothing too extraordinary in an aggro HU game. Still sickening to see the actual $$$ amounts though.
