[ QUOTE ] With Moneybookers is it better to go USD OR CAD? Thanks [/ QUOTE ] if you have a choice, always USD to avoid exchange rate hassles for transferring to/from merchants. [/ QUOTE ] Absolutely...this was certainly the case with Neteller. |

Ugh...fees, limits, more limits. Looks like the worst of the three, but it's the only eWallet option for Stars. [/ QUOTE ] It's the only eWallet on Stars, but Stars also has a direct ACH option. What about credit cards - which banks work and which don't? |

Bobo,
Did your MB transfer to party work yet? I'd really like to know why it is delayed. Or alternatively, have you heard any stories where MB transfers to Party was successful since the neteller change in service to Canadians? Thanks again - I'd like to echo another poster's gratitude towards your generous and constant update on this matter for fellow Canadians! |

Thanks again - I'd like to echo another poster's gratitude towards your generous and constant update on this matter for fellow Canadians! [/ QUOTE ] I hate that what I'm 90% sure is just a single instance of Party totally screwing up a deposit might be making anyone holding off getting a MB account, but I can certainly understand. No, the money is still not there. However, there has been some "progress" lol. On Thursday, Party emailed me asking for the email address I use on MB. It is of course the same one I use on Party. They said once I "revert" with that information they would credit the "finds" in 24 hours. I replied (reverted?) immediately. On Saturday, I get an email apologizing for the delay, telling me they've forwarded the details to the department concerned, and that they would try and get the amount credited in 24-48 hours. Sunday, I get another email asking me for the email address I used for MB. I reply to this right away once again. Later Sunday, I get another email, this one simply telling me they will be crediting the funds within 2-6 hours. This was 5 hours ago as of right now. Could a resolution be in sight? Anyway, this email exchange leads me to believe that this is likely a result of Party incompetence, rather than any problem with MB. Hopefully I will be posting a conclusion to this saga in short order. |

I never knew how much I missed Neteller until now. Moneybookers has no live chat and no e-mail address. They use this weird messaging thing that makes sending them scanned jpg of documents impossible. Instead, I have to fax long distance to Europe. Phoning them is long distance to Europe which makes me scared to call because of long distance costs plus their 25 pence/minute service charge. What the heck is a pence in Canadian currency? Neteller was toll free in Canada.
Moneybookers has low limits on transactions. Neteller had high limits for everyone. Now I'm beginning to understand why even Europeans used Neteller instead of something else. To avoid the limits per 90 days. Yes, you can raise the limit on Moneybookers but it's still not good enough and takes time. Neteller was without question the BEST payment processor for Canadians. Free EFTs and extremely easy to use. E-mail, live chat, and toll-free customer service. Moneybookers needs to have an public e-mail address available and LIVE CHAT. How about a toll free number? Every payment processor needs to at least have that. The transaction limits are pathetic. Bank wire fees and cabling costs for deposit and withdraw with Moneybookers are killing me. For the localized Canadian, Euro-centric Moneybookers sucks *ss compared to Neteller. Right now every payment processor (Moneybookers, Click2pay, etc.) pales to Neteller. Why don't they copy some of Neteller's best features? |

Moneybookers has no live chat and no e-mail address. [/ QUOTE ] I do agree that there has been no equal to NT although I do not fear that all is lost. MB and C2P seem adequate enough for me anyways. MB does actually have an email address and I did receive some answers to questions, even tho it took a long time for them to respond and the answers were a little vague. The addy is [email protected] ps - thanks again to Bobo for all his continuous updates on his findings. I'm sure a lot of ppl are curious to find out how the party thing works out as that is such an important withdrawal method for a lot of ppl. |

Question regarding moneybookers:
I've gone to my bank to transfer funds from my td canadian bank account to my MB account. I gave my bank all the info that MB gave me to make the transfer (IBAN, SWIFT etc) but they also told me that they needed two more things: the address of moneybookers and the address of commerzbank (the bank that MB uses). Anyone else run into this roadblock or have the relevant info? Thanks |

I am in the same boat as some others here in that I play mid-high stakes no limit and make enough that e-wallet deposit limits would not work for me. So as I see it, I have two options and I thought it might be useful to list them concisely for other high-stakes players. FYI, I play on Prima:
Click2Pay To deposit on a site, you could use a credit card or you could use a wire transfer. There is no limit on wire transfers, although banks will usually charge $25-$30 for them if they are over $1k. Hopefully I would never need to do this. To withdraw using click2pay, I withdraw directly from the site to my click2pay account. There is no limit. They charge no exchange fees, meaning $1k USD would be worth a full $1156.10 Canadian as of today. To access the funds, I would need to order the debit card for $10, or pay $2 to have them write me a cheque. Pretty low given the funds I am transferring and the amount I was losing to Neteller's exchange fees. The other option would be forgoing the e-wallets entirely and just cashing out directly from the site by cheque or EFT. I expect, however, I would be gouged on exchange rate by my bank just like Neteller gouged me. Could anyone who has experience with cashing USD cheques confirm this? |
