i'd love to use this as a "movies to see" list, but scanning the responses i can already see that's been ruined. you should have made a no spoilers rule.

[/ QUOTE ]

you're right. i had the same idea.. in fact already in this thread i've seen someone say a movie i haven't seen and then i quickly scroll down so i don't read anything. a few people put in spoiler disclaimers.

K9 -- The end where Jerry Lee gets shot (I own a German Shepherd as well)
Field of Dreams -- "Wanna have a catch dad?"
Band of Brothers -- Sounds wierd but when they are interviewing all of the old guys at the end.

Oh and that T-Mac special was great as well.

Daryn I am a total sissy boy when it comes to crying at the movies. I almost cried during Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. Seriously.

I teared up a surprising number of times when I watched Little Miss Sunshine last night.

I'm not sure it was all the movie, though; I'd had the sort of day where I was going to be effected by any movie I watched. I probably would have teared-up during "Beauty & The Beast 3: A Very Special Easter".

plot details, but no real spoilers:

Two movies that haven't been mentioned, that rate tears from me:

It's a Wonderful Life

C'mon, this is the kind of thing that really gets me, the stories of goodness that are overwhelming. I love this movie, watch it once or twice a year, and tear up multiple times, every time.

The Best Years of our lives

This movie has the saddest scene in the history of film, it's about three WWII veterans coming home, and thier struggles dealing with being back. Homer Parrish, the veteran who has lost his hands, is describing to his future wife, why he is now so pathetic without hands that she should consider not marrying him. btw, the actor who played Homer Parrish was not a professional actor, but a dude who actually lost both hands in WWII, and is the only actor in history to win two oscars for one role. (best supporting actor, and a special award for being such an inspiration to other disabled vets.

As for movies others have mentioned:
Green Mile got me.

We Were Soldiers Wives/Telegrams was amazing, way better than the rest of the movie, which was OK.

Oh [censored], I forgot about the scene in Casablanca when Victor Laszlo leads the french refugees in a round of "la marsiellaise" to drown out the nazis chorus. If I can survive the beginning of this scene, when Yvonne chimes in despite having run with nazis, I'm done for.

me too. I also cried when Spock died in star treck 2. The whole scene with captain kirk running to see his friend, seeing spock close to death and talking to him.
