This is about as nonsensical a stream of consciousness as Ray's post, so I give it full credit, with slight demerits because you're not Ray.

I was snow skiing in eastern IA but it started snowing to hard while I was doing so. I ended up trying to beat the blizzard home, but the problem was every gas station on the way home had their power out because power lines have fallen from all the freezing rain. I had 150 miles left to drive, but only 130 miles worth of gas left but couldn't fill up because all the pumps were off. I made it close to home but had to call a friend to come with more gas while I was off the road without gas to bring me more gas. This is what my back deck looks like right now.

We have a friggen blizzard tonight. The pic just shows the freezing rain that bought all the power down, but we're getting tons of snow now too.

this is how much freezing rain we have, a bunch of branches in my yard have fallen off. On the drive home I had to avoid all the powerline polls that had fallen over on the road I was taking home.

edit: none of these tree branches should be this low, they're ususaly 15 feet up.

I now feel warm inside whenever i see a new Ray Zee thread on OOT. Simple and to the point. With just a sprinkling of weird sometimes.

Did you get into the redwoods at all while between Brookings and Crescent City. That is an amazing place.

Used to get good clam chowder and hot bread at a small cafe at end the pier in Trinidad. Ever take a walk at Patricks Point?
