1. Are you asking what we would do if the US bans poker, but it can still be successfully played overseas?
2. Or are you asking what we would do if the US bans poker, and all the US pros figure out a workaround, but there aren't enough European fish to make the game really profitable anymore, or at least less profitable than a normal full time job. The first case seems like what most people are answering. If the poker environment is still lucrative without the US fish, then I imagine all the high stakes guys will figure out a way to get a foreign bank account combined with a proxy server so they can still play against the europeans. I doubt anyone would have to move. The second case is more difficult, since the whole poker economy will be ruined so that the only real money would be in playing live at the casino. In this case you either have to move to Vegas, or get a job. |

I'm still holding out hope for a billion or so Asian fish swimming in the pond within the next few years.

what would you do if you couldn't play internet poker and didn't want to leave the country to play internet poker. basically i'm curious to know who thinks they would actually move to Vegas to play and what the rest of us would do. i for one would not move to vegas, and would stop playing poker. I don't know what i'd do beyound that. tc ps i stand by hot girls comment. |

I'm not in the US, but if I were to quit playing, I'd go back to daytrading.
BTW, I have a full time job. |

Being a live pro would be a terrible existance, IMO. There is no way I could grind out 30-40 hrs a week in a casino to making 100k-200K. Just not my idea of a fullfulling life. However, I might would consider going to Vegas or LA and playing enough to cover living expenses and just party it up for several months but that would get old fast.
If the games dry up I will likely spend some time traveling around the world. I want to spend some time in Australia, hiking up Kilimanjaro, and back pack throughout Europe. When I am done with or get bored doing that I will likely go back to school get my masters in Finance and get a real job. |

Drive 10 minutes eastward. Haven't figured out how to play 8 tables live yet though. Maybe I'd move to some Euro country and play at Party.
We will be back together one day, Party. |
