Baseball player was Steve Sax. I thought he was going to be a Hall of Famer.

Football player was Jim Burt. Always wanted to be a nose tackle because of him.

Manute Bol. I could never get enough of seeing that guy play. I loved the space hook, and loved him firing 3's even more.

This is a spectacular choice. Not a very good player, but a riot to watch. My favorite Manute Move was the defensive rebound, put ball through the legs (by lifting leg, not dribbling) then firing the outlet pass up court. See 1:53 mark here.

He played for 4 teams in 2000 -- one of which was the Blue Jays, which I imagine is how you came to see him play.

[/ QUOTE ]

Correct. He was loved here as well. As you say, he appeared to be a major hustler so he was respected (if not terribly effective).

[/ QUOTE ]

Rex Hudler was another former Expo who fits that mold. I loved him as a player, not so much as a sportscaster.

Yes! Wonderdog! You're bringing back memories, man. Like many Canadians I followed both Toronto and the Spos back them.

Remember when Henry Rodgriguez was smacking homers in '96 and the local press nicknamed him "O'Henry" and the fans would throw O'Henry chocolate bars on the field? Good times, good times.

Tommy Brookens

In looking up this link I learned that he will be coaching the 'A' ball team here in Grand Rapids. Cool!

More like Chris Gaybo. Do you have those goggles on to protect your eyes from all the weiners trying to get into them?
