Default Roulette

In wagering a bet in roulette are you required to make a bet on the inside numbers inorder to make a bet on the outside bets or can you just bet on the outside bets for exmaple odd even or red black?

PJM: You can make any bet or combination of bets that you like. There are no restrictions.

For future stuff about roulette, there's an "Other Gambling" forum under "General Gambling".

Bad move. Red is a bad bet. Put it on EVEN instead.

Is that because 0 and 00 are considered even?

No, 0 is odd, double zero is even.

Not 100% true. You have to bet the table minimum in a particular area- if you're at a $5 table, you can't bet $5 on the outside, $1 on one number and say you've bet $6.

You have to bet $5 total on the numbers (you can do five $1 bets) separately from the outside bets.

Other than that minor nitpick, I agree with your statement

That's how they get you, since everyone knows that TWO zeros is the "odd" combination.
